[] "People really hate me. Even when I haven't done anything. Even when I try to help. It's fine right? To be angry? Because I feel really angry."
The previous encounter lingered in your mind. Umika's words echoed violently within your head as you thought about the incident she mentioned. Sai and Reika were keeping quiet about it for now but you could tell that they won't be forthcoming if you did ask.
This feeling in your chest. It was different from fury and irritation. You felt that it was ugly and sticky, it clung to your lungs as you breathed. You couldn't breathe as you held your hand to your chest. It felt dirty.
"People really hate me," you managed to say as you glanced at Sai and Reika, "Even when I haven't done anything. Even when I try to help..."
You murmured in a dark tone as you looked at them. Madoka pulled Sai away from you as Reika tensed up. Grief left your body and floated upwards. They hung above your head as you lowered your gaze to the ground.
Corruption seeped from your flesh as it ended up sticking to people around you. The couple nearby started having an argument while a bab started crying out loud. You looked down your hands as you ended up releasing you corruption in the air.
"It's fine right? To be angry? Because I feel really angry," you muttered in a hollow tone.
"Yukina, your grief. You need to get ahold of yourself," Sai advised as she looked at you.
The business man by the counter started arguing with the clerk while a few customers started becoming uncomfortable. They couldn't see the cloud of miasma leaving your body. But to your companions, it was like a curtain of poison which surrounded you.
You just felt empty and hurt and angry. You didn't know what to feel first. You seeds relished your dark thoughts as you whimpered beneath the grief cloud.
"To think that her miasma can affect others... It's like neurotoxin to us if we get a face full of it," Madoka observed as she used her magic to have the miasma bounce off her and your friends.
"This is the first time I've seen her... Upset," Sai blinked as she stared at you, "I... Reika do something."
"Don't look at me! This is freaking me out too!" Reika replied in a panic as she bit her lip.
"You might want to calm her down before she traps us here," Madoka advised as she glanced at Sai.
Your Grief Seeds shuddered inside you as your grief simply piled up. You just felt stricken as you mulled over what happened before. You had to stop at one point. You had to calm down eventually... But before that, the people around you were starting to become more and more negative and hostile.
"Yukina. Yukina you have to calm down," Sai swallowed as she held her hands out, "It's... We don't think of you as dangerous. We're your friends, right Reika?"
"I... Sure! It's all fine!" Reika said as she smiled at you.
"See? So come on, Yukina. Let's just calm down," Sai told you as she reached out to your head through the miasma.
Her fingertips were about to touch the miasma before the curtain of corruption eventually receded. It was sucked back into your body bit by bit before being taken by your seeds. They stopped squirming about inside you as they took the corruption you had accumulated.
The people were still negative give that your grief had already latched onto them. You sat in your seat while the rest of your companions let out a sigh of relief. You were dangerous.
A danger.
Scary.
"She's still out of it," Reika observed as she crossed her arms.
"Dammit, Yuri would know what to do if she were here," Sai murmured as she bit her thumb.
Madoka got up and walked over to you and pulled your head close for a hug. It was uncomfortable due to her combat vest but the gesture was all the same. You buried yourself on her chest as she patted your head while you trembled.
Sai and Reika were at a loss, the latter receiving a tinge of envy on her face.
"There, there... It's gonna be okay," Madoka said as she stroked your hair, "It's okay to feel like that but don't dwell in it."
You groaned as you slowly calmed down. You eased up as your seeds became dormant but filled with grief again. You'll have to detox them later in a quiet place. Sai and Reika looked at Madoka as the gas mask girl no doubt had a look of superiority behind that mask. You didn't notice though but Reika bristled at that.
Sai merely shook her head and sighed. She took a look at her phone and perked up. Madoka went back to he seat while Reika glared at her before the café door opened. A girl stepped in.
"About time you got here," Sai griped as she lowered her phone.
Reika's eyes widened before choking, "Wait... She's our support?"
A girl in a simple white dress walked in with a sling bag across her body. Her long black hair flowed as she moved before cracking a bright smile.
Her red eyes were the same as yours as she turned to your group. Walking up to your table, she waved a hand and smiled, "Hey there! Miss Aoyama! Miss Minami!"
Reika seemed stunned before glancing at Sai, "How..."
"We're friends," Sai stuck her tongue out at the younger girl, "We have a couple of new faces. Why don't you introduce yourself?"
The girl blinked before turning to you. You both stared at one another before she gave you a kind smile.
"Hi. My name's Kazumi. Subaru Kazumi," Kazumi greeted you as she bowed politely, "I'm an Administrator of Asunaro City and Magical Girl. You're Yukina, yes? Nice to meet you."
"I..." You started to speak before you noticed that grief still leaked from your hand. You held back as you lowered your head.
You hesitated as you remembered what was told you before. You hesitated...
Sai and Reika tensed, afraid that you'd start leaking out corruption again. It sparked in you... Jealousy and anger. Your Seeds started to squirm in delight.
