The Restless Dead Want YOU To Fight Necromancy

[X]The Dark Energy runs through them like stagnent rivers. Twist the flow to direct the curse.
Not an acceptable write-in, mostly because it confuses me. Direct the curse to do what?

  • [X]The dark energy is bound to the wounds with a curse. Break it.

Wyste is also a much better writer than the writers of the endings of ME3!

So, I am wary of using the blood option because we're Not Doing Great on the whole blood thing right now.
And as for the necromatic controlling energy - this strikes me as rather Not Morgan.

If only Morgan's numbers involved 7. I like 7. It's a nice number.

I edited it to Subvert.

But essentially, to try to go for a less heavy handed approach to the blood version... sortof...

Make the curse attack itself or something along those lines, or direct it into the existing zombie head.

Essentially 'Transplanting' the thing to something it cannot effect.

Aside from the reasoning put forth by others, mages of other disciplines have trouble performing rituals in a discipline they aren't familiar with, and the government explicitly does not keep necromancers on staff. They probably don't keep blood mages on staff, either, but they almost certainly have cursebreakers. Personally, I'd actually like the government to be able to reliably perform the zombie cure ritual.

Excellent, that's a good write-in.

Revising my vote to the simpler option. n_n

This seems like it's the most likely to work, and thus the most energy efficient.
The only reason we even have the option to design a ritual outside of our specialty is that we're an ancient vampire and thus extremely durable. A mortal practitioner would be considered mad or suicidal if they attempted to something like this.

Edit: changed vote.

So if the curse turns healthy people into zombies, does nobody else worry that channeling the curse into already zombies will make like double power super zombies of something?

[X]The dark energy is bound to the wounds with a curse. Break it.

We agreed to being taped to pass on this ritual, so let's go with the simplest and most replicable option.

Well, so long as we are using the limbless zombie head it should be fine... though we might want to remove it's jaw.

wonder if Morgan can convert the Dark energy into something positive or atleast make it into a fuel for the ritual and add a bit of healing maybe

Since this is something Morgan knows, I'll go ahead and say it: the more complicated you make the ritual, the more likely it becomes to fail, because Morgan is working outside their subject area. As previously mentioned, this isn't particularly dangerous to Morgan, but would require starting over.

Or seal the dark magic in an evil book and put a lock with several seals on it. I'm sure that way, no one would be curious enough to open it. Not even the most curious grave robber! :V

Wouldn't dark magic in the ritual be a bit recursive? We're trying to destroy the magic, I believe.
Also, isn't dark magic destructive in nature? Correct me if I'm wrong about this setting though. This is a place where Morgan "the nice vampire who doesn't abuse mind powers" exists.

why do I feel you just want someone saying Necronomican as a joke only for Morgan to reply "I am suprise you human know such a tome when many mortals men tried so hard to make it remained forgotten for so long"

.... ok now I want to if the Necronomicon is real in that world and how they would react to it

...if it was real, it wouldn't be the Necronomicon, now would it?
