To Bring Hope and Glory: No SV, You are the Headmaster of a Hero Academy (Canceled)

Just don't expect to much in the way of special traits... again, if you choose to make your own character, your only going to be getting access to a few special traits.

I figured we would just gradually gain more, and have more options to actually grow & develop. Like, Premade Characters would be pure specialists, only getting Shinies that already fit their theme.

Though speaking of Special Traits... How exactly will that work for Custom Characters? Cause I really want us to be a Biomage who just "casually" creates otherwise-impossible children.

Like, you see plenty of Fantasy and/or Sci-Fi stories where Interspecies Romance can't produce (fertile) Hybrids, or Gay/Lesbian couples that never think "Oh, why not use magic/super-tech to make kids?"

That is really weird and I have been toying around with so many related ideas. Plus, this way we could have a special bond with many of our students, with some of them actually being kids the Biomage previously made for people.

Yep.
How exactly will that work for Custom Characters?
You will be allowed one special trait at the beginning of the game (I will not tell you what they are because Reasons) Which can really affect your playstyle, reputation with other heroes/nations, and the contracts you have access to. among other things.
Cause I really want us to be a Biomage who just "casually" creates otherwise-impossible children.

It is possible. Just don't expect me to allow you to go overboard on the whole... biokids thing.

What exactly would be "overboard" in this case? I was thinking they built up their reputation this way, or more specifically went from being a "mere" traveling healer to a "hero" because of the tendency.

Still, I would say it wouldn't have been more than 30 cases? Though, I would say most of the huge rep boosts would of been from influential people. I figure the Biomage would be a rather open-minded person all told, having really only done this to be helpful (and for the challenge/research).

I stop counting at 100 kids/ subjects. and the people you help will be influential, if not a little... rich.

Any more and I won't even bother.

Hmm... definitely too early to really get into details and whatnot. Oh, how many students would we start off with regardless? Also, exactly what are all the intelligent races in this world? Really, we could use more background information if Custom Character wins.

Only humans exist unfortunately. All the other fantastical races, save for monsters and dragons have either died out or disappeared off of the continent millennia prior.

Edit: as for students, you will start with 5 classes of about 40 students each.

... So uh, if there just so happened to be peculiar human-but-not-human beings running around, how would people react to that? Asking for a friend.

Not well. Even homunculous or near huminoids like cimera would be... like down upon.

Hmm... so what exactly are the "Spirits of The Forest"? You said all fantastical races, except monsters & dragons, either died out or disappeared. So would these Spirits be Dryads, or are they another extinct/missing species?

Cause I'm thinking the Biomage could try offering their service to the Forest Spirits in some way, either creating a guardian/servant race for them or trying to resurrect species for them.

Oh, back to monsters & dragons: How intelligent are them? Are they Always Chaotic Evil abominations that inexplicably still exist, or are we talking monster cultures that can be reasoned with?

"Spirits of The Forest"?
Actual forest spirits/dryads. The kind of things that kill people in the stories.
Oh, back to monsters & dragons: How intelligent are them?
depends on the monster and depends on the age of the dragon.
Are they Always Chaotic Evil abominations that inexplicably still exist, or are we talking monster cultures that can be reasoned with?
both, but again, depends on the monster and depends on the age of the dragon.

Hmm... I'm guessing all these questions must be pretty annoying, huh? I'm guessing (Artificial) Hybrids of Humans and another race/species wouldn't go over well, just like general human-but-not-quite creations?

Well, there's a lot of possibilities behind a Biomage. I do like the idea of us trying to appeal to the Forest Spirits by creating better trees, and/or creating more trees for them to make up for the losses from Academy construction.

Plus, there's definitely an appeal to our Academy being a "safe haven" of sorts- being somewhere that biological oddities, Homunculi, Hybrids, and so on can improve themselves without fear.

-[X]The Small Country village Of Summerhold: In the Lands of the Angshire, There sits a small village in the valley of Kings. This place has been known as a quiet, quaint little town, known more for its sheep and friendly faces. However, it is beautiful, in tune with nature, and a perfect place to train the next generation of Heroes. (Out of the Way, Good luck getting many missions that aren't herding sheep or guarding from wolves. A Spirit lingers here, and it is happy to see heroes again. Taxes are small. The Wars in the North may come to this place, and you must choose a side.)

With such a place steeped in magic and in legend, it is the perfect place to train heroes. (In a holy site, Magic gets... wierd here. Temple Tax. The King of this nation might take an intrest in you.)
    [X] Plan: Dark Nights
    -[X]Custom Made Character
-[X]The Rotten Port of Nukvale: The Largest city on the Continents western coast, it is abundant in fish, trade, and problems. It is corrupt, its people living under iron handed ministers and magistrates, who leech the life from the city. But underneath it, all is a thriving underbelly that seeks to make those powerful, smart, or mad enough, immeasurable wealth. (Criminal element here, Students may be kidnapped and held for ransom. Access to Rare and magical artifacts, if you know where to look. Taxation... what taxation? Don't you mean bribes?)

Edit: as for students, you will start with 5 classes of about 40 students each.
Well, that's more than we had last time. Shame my Omake plans for the old Quest have to go down the drain, though . . .

On that note, do I still have my Omake bonus from the last Quest?

I'm guessing (Artificial) Hybrids of Humans and another race/species wouldn't go over well, just like general human-but-not-quite creations
Correct.

Yes. In fact thanks to the bonus, you get a +10 to the stat rolls if you create a charecter.
@Magoose in Custom Made Character do we have the option to create a Wizard Engineer Hero that can use Magitek and have experience in using magic and technology.
Yes.
