This is a sort of thing I feel no confidence in my ability to even attempt to navigate. At least as far as this sort of interpersonal familial thing is concerned, I think I'll mostly just stay to the side and let people with more confidence and/or knowledge hash things out.

I agree, this is still an awesome quest, but I miss the old times in which we only had to worry about Walmart Night killing the city.

Now I am much more afraid of screwing things up with Mina than fighting Arkadi.

Usually, Incubators offer a two-for-one deal. In addition to one wish, they also allow the magi in question to shift their body to match their self-image; it's such a small thing to change someone's body like that given the other physical effects of being a magi, but it matters enough that they offer it as a freebie. Because in the end, a magi will always emerge as a witch. Or die. It doesn't matter.

Wait a second... are you saying Homura's hair is literally magic? As opposed to being... magic, but in a... nother way. You know, it'd make sense if Homura's hair became magical when she contracted and she didn't really realize it.

Her hair is actually the one part of her body that doesn't reset when she goes back in time. It's so gorgeous because she's put decades of care into it!

That will help Mina to actually talk things out with their parents without snapping or breaking down in process and let Mina to better understand their parents and girlfriend.
No downsides whatsoever, QB guarantees it!
 
Also difficulty 1 for this vote; it's enough that Reika will get some inkling and won't feel completely locked out.

It's not perfect either. But it will help.

Also uh...how do I put this...maybe don't catastrophize about the potential directions this story could go? Like if Minako contracts Sayaka and Kyouko aren't going to just immediately witch out.

It would not be interesting if the story just ended there. You're underestimating these people.

They're not going to just fall apart like that.
