We don't have to build the palisade immediately this term with the security hunter pop.
One hunter pop is not going to be able to hold off any real attack. And with a large chunk of our food producing pops so far away from our artisans, the valley will starve. I see why you want us to seize that strategic location, but this isn't the time or place to do it.

@Azel , seeing as how some of our food-producing activities are better than others, can we reorganize workers?

I mean, why would we fish if we can move those to the Orchards? Or why not move some population to gathering? What's the point of raising cattle if it is less productive than hunting or fishing?
You can shuffle around workers just fine, though abandoning animal husbandry would incur Bad Stuff from your cultural ideas.

  • [X] Plan We Need More Pops
-[X] Send the hunters on a raid.
--[X] scout the lowlands, find out what is going on and are there minor settlements like the one at Lakeford or outlying settlements near Bruchcrest. Avoid conflict.
    ---[X] 1 Light
-[X] Improve the village by construction sturdy longhouses for the people. (2 of 3 Production paid)
-[X] Send a diplomat to someone.
    --[X] To the white clans
---[X] Find clans of appropriate size who believe in the Faith of Bones and persuade them to come to Greenvalley, swear oaths of allegiance to the Council of Three (as the Antler Clan chief did), and become part of the Valley People. The size of the clans should collectively number no more than three pops. Preferably we want two gatherers and one hunter pop.
-[X] (Optional) Change the focus of the Pilgrim Village.
--[X] Encourage own culture. (+1 Valley People Culture in Greenvalley)
-[X] Attempt to change a Pops culture to Valley People.
--[X] If diplomatic attempt succeeds, convert one of the three White Clan pops to Valley People. Preferably the highest status pop of the three, e.g., a hunter pop.
    [X] Plan Lakefort Expansion
-[X] Make all the hunters hunt except one heavy to act as protection for the new Settlement
-[X] Improve the village by construction sturdy longhouses for the people. (2 of 3 Production paid)
-[X] Create a new village to claim more land for the Valley People. (Cost: 1 Production per Pop settled in the new village.)
-[X] Write-In which Pops to settle there.
    --[X] Three Greenvalley Serfs
-[X] Write-In where to build the village.
--[X]At the confluence of the rivers Green and Goat (upon the ruins of Lakefort)
-[X] Gain +1 Production to spend this turn.
    [X] Plan building up
-[X] Send the hunters on a raid.
--[X] scout the lowlands, find out what is going on and are there minor settlements like the one at Lakeford or outlying settlements near Bruchcrest

--[X] convincing more clans to settle at Greenvalley

Okay, gentlemen, this is only marginally useful, but we should move some of the least useful activities such as fishing to more lucrative ones, such as gathering (due to the low amount og it we are doing) and orchards.

Also I just noticed that we are probably lagging behind by having so many hunters. They consume 1.2 production, so we need 2 pops producing it, one producing basic materials, and the other of artisans making the actual weapons and equipment.

If we didn't have hunters, we would have two free pops that we could use elsewhere.

If we didn't have hunters, we would starve. And also have no military.

Here I'm wondering what effects copper will have on our industry as well as hunter pop...will they reduce the needed production for tools and weapons (copper arrow-heads and such)?

hopefully this turn goes well, as we need more people to truly get started on our civilization and to scout out Bruchcrest to see if we cant raid them for resources if they are weakened...as well as take our vengeance on them and finish it up.

also interesting idea, what happens when the Markar cant find anyone to fight anymore? will they implode due to their values?

How about a sales pitch to the White Clans next turn? Something along the lines of "Help us subjulgate the sowing-people and start living there and you won't have to worry about going hungry again"

if we gain new groups form the white clans i like to turn one into bonetenders to help spread our faith among the white clans

I don't think asking them to give up their home ranges will be that easy. Most mountain peoples have some kind of pride linking them to their homes (most cultures in general but it's more pronounced in harsh environments)
