Yes, but I will say that you may not succeed with the training rolls. The two you choose will automatically succeed.

Right. And since we've been having shit luck with ninjutsu rolls, we could really use the guaranteed success there.

Oh, and omake bonuses. Everyone should check the omake list and see if they feel any inspiration to write.

Maybe, but If the enemy is smart, they will try and find a way to prevent them from joining the war... Because who' scarier, the three nations of the west, with their client states, or Fortress Konoha standing alone?
Preventing would be rough. Either you manage a decapitation strike against the likes of Mu, somehow prevent the flow of men despite the fact that Kusa is an open (if still on fire) door and Taki is outright one of the defensive pact signatories, or you open additional fronts to the war effectively day one. Suna could try to get in on the action (it changes sides six times before breakfast) but Hanzo has a proper coalition himself and getting past that barred door is something Suna would have to do alone. Players like Sky (demon manufacturing Laputa ripoffs that they are) are wildcards but that is more likely to fuck everybody involved.

Geography is slightly in Konoha's favor in a defensive war. Fire Country is big, with Leaf almost in it's dead center, as far from the sea as possible. Its even more in Iwa's favor. That country has two sides guarded by powerful allies AND mountain ranges and I would not want to try to pull a naval landing if I was Kumo and company. Taki is nothing but mountain passes and hydrologic nightmares only really understood by the locals.

Its still not something we can pin victory on though: Kumo has the strongest collection of Sage-era traditions and relics. Kiri is designed from the ground up to produce S-Rankers at the expense of all else and is geared up for blitzkrieg and asymmetric warfare, exploiting its domination of one ocean. And Uzu is an island of reality warping immortals that apparently moonlight manufacturing artificial summons and generally being an island-shaped nuclear weapon.

Diplomatically, though, from the perspective of another nation or other power I would ask you this question: Who would you want to win, between the two coalitions with all else being equal?

Most would say 'neither'. They would love to see the two burn each other down as long as they themselves don't become collateral. But Kiri's triumvirate seems more likely to spread its attention around if they win, especially considering that they are very much not simply a mutual defense pact. Maybe some day soon they will be looking your way.

At least with Konoha, there is at least the appearance that the coalition isn't going to actively gangrape you.

That suggests a fair bit of support that doesn't come with liabilities. A few shreds of information on movements passed under the table can do a lot.

Ninjutsu is our big weakness right now. We should at least make sure that's shored up with some successes here.

And in case anyone forgot the omake list is in the Apocrypha.

I have an idea for an omake, Shiro has a stuffed nine-tailed fox that he takes on 'adventures', waxes philosophic with, and helps him make disturbing outdoor art. From other people's PoV it's just a stuffed animal, to Shiro's view it's Kurama. We as the audience can't be sure if Kurama the stuffed fox is actually 'alive' and moving on his own (possessed by the actual Kurama), or if it's all Shiro, or Shiro's beast, or what.

Yeah, basically Calvin&Hobbes.

Suna has loaned out a massive sum of money to Kumo, Kiri, Uzisho, Rain, Grass and Iwa.

The Kazekage is now sitting back and waiting for the interest payments to come in. His people are safe and happy, but the warhawks in his government are clamoring for a more… glorious way to gain a fortune of nations. Especially when he is gambling with hundreds of millions of Ryu, and the entire gold reserve of Suna as collateral.

He is willing to relent to their whims, if it is profitable and Suna will not lose their fortune.

Reward: If Suna does not get it's money during the war, it will invade and start… well taking everything and anything from the nations that have not paid up.
I'm dying help

All I will say on the matter is that this war will be bloody as hell, and if you are unlucky, and if you are not 100% at certain points and certain missions, a whole lot of your friends will die painful deaths.

I'm still pretty baffled by the fact that Danzo and Mordred ended up hooking up. Then again, the fact that the choice was there should've hinted how bonkers it was gonna be (especially with Danzo rolling that crit)

If Nasuverse rules still applies in this world, then depending on how the bond between Danzo and Mordred works, Mordred should be pretty op. Caliburn can easily decimate armies.

I also gotta question on how come Ren's bounty hasn't increased yet. (since you know, Hokage's successor is a pretty big deal especially at a young age)

Are we also gonna vote on a new pic for our protag?

Mordred is just slightly less powerful then Danzo, and really, she is not going to get any stronger then that, because we don't follow Natsuverse bullshit.

Ren only just got promoted, that kinda thing takes time and guestimating on how much villages should shell out in silver to try to kill the kid.

You already did that before the Chunin Exams, it ain't changing until your an adult.

Training And Flashpoint
Training And Flashpoint

(Auto success)
-[X]Hawk Combat: You learned how to destroy all your enemies with your allies. Rolled: 1D100 => 76

Garuda looked at you with nothing more than respect and honesty. "You are the greatest summoner we have had in centuries, Ayako. This is not a compliment we hand out lightly."

"THank you." You bowed. "So what now?"

Garuda glared closer at you. "We are going to grant you one of our most important artifacts." he than tapped the ground and smoke appeared.

When it dissipated, it revealed a recorder. "A recorder?" You asked.

"That is Red Tail, one of our most priceless artifacts. Any bird that listens to it will heed your call, and join you in battle."

"That's… very trusting of you Garuda." You replied. "I will promise I won't lose it."

Garuda nodded. "Good. Because if you do, we will retrieve you, and use your corpse to feed our young."

Nice… Hold onto this with your life.

Reward: You have Received Red Tail: This instrument will call any avian to battle alongside you. (You can call birds to help you, even when out of chakra).

Hawk Combat will now have a +100 to combat rolls when they fight with you, and they will automatically rescue you and your friends if you are in danger.

-[X] Genjutsu: Your genjutsu skills are impressive, and now, you are the best in the village.Rolled: 1D100 => 95

THere was one thing that you loved about Genjutsu, and that was how easy it was to do in tandem with Kagami. You thought, he reacted, he thought, you reacted. The world was clay, and you were it's sculpture.

The Genjutsu you created over the years were equally useful and terrifying.

But they had your name on it, the names from your past life that would strike fear to the enemies again.

Reward: Demonic Illusion: Hagane no kabe (Wall of Steel): A wall of steel charges the enemy, trapping them and than confining them into a tiny space. Their mind will do the rest. (Captures an enemy immediately.)

Demonic Illusion: Akatsuki: Dawn will come, and with it, your cleansing light. (You can make the world enveloped in the sunrise, even in the darkest night.)

Demonic Illusion: Hakumei: When Night Falls, it will fall forever, in the choking darkness, your prey will stay. (You can bring the world into darkness, even in the brightest day.)

Your Bloodline has now evolved: Kekkei Genkai: Mondai-jō no kokoro (Mind Over Matter) (Kage): A Powerful Bloodline limit that makes the Genjutsu that the user to become real to the target. It is incredibly dangerous as The user is rarely able to control the full extent of their abilities, resulting in their subconscious regulating that power, leading to the creation of a second personality in control of that power (Genjutsu cast by this person will automatically succeed, and may have a chance to kill whoever is caught within it, friend or foe. Due to Mastering their bloodline, this character will not enter a berzerker rage or go insane if control is lost.)

(Rolls)

Taijutsu: You are nearing Yoshi and Dai levels of awesome with your styles of combat. Rolled: 1D100 => 63

THe Hawks Finished your training in the Broken Chiclet Style, and in the Sharp Leaf Style.

Reward: You have received Mastery in the Broken chiclet Style: (+100 to all dodge rolls)

You have received MAstery in The Sharp Leaf Style(+70 to Combat Rolls +80 to Dodge Rolls).

Elemental Jutsu: Your combat ninjutsu is lacking, but in time, you will be awesome. Rolled: 1D100 => 14

You were so focused on Genjutsu, you did not study Elemental Jutsu.

Failure

Ninjutsu: You need some more ninjutsu in your arsenal. Rolled: 1D100 => 20

The Same could be said with your ninjutsu… frustratingly enough.

Failure.

-[X]You went for a Jounin Promotion: You wanted to rise through the Ranks and become a jounin. Rolled: 1D100 => 82- 10(No Ninjutsu skills to speak of)-5 (Middling Elemental Jutsus)+20 (Amazing Taijutsu)+50 (Genjutsu that has surpassed the Hokage)=137

You were 14 when you finally earned your promotion, but you could safely say that you earned it. Even though you were lacking in certain areas of a ninja, you were so good at your areas of expertise, that the Hokage gave you a flak jacket and the Rank of Jounin.

Reward: Jounin: This character is the rank of Jounin, the Elite ninja of the hidden villiage, a highly experienced and highly skilled shinobi who serves as military captains and team leader on missions. (This character can lead missions from D to S Rank Assignments. May also take on students if they wish or are ordered too.)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The War began a few weeks after your 14th birthday. It was an event that you did not see coming, but you remembered exactly who you were with when it happened. When the Red Flag came.

When Konoha was invaded.

Who and where were you when the War Began:

[]At home with Your Parents: Mom was resting with dad and you were enjoying a nice, calming cup of tea.

[]At the Academy with Shiro: You were helping Shiro with his reading homework when the red Flag came.

[]At Sakumo's house, spending time with Sakumo: He had invited you over to his place to spend some time with you, and give Kagami some ice cream for helping him clean his house.

[]On the Hokage Monument with Ashai: You were planning on telling her your new goal now that you were a jounin.

[]On a Mission with Ren: You were coming home from a Caravan escort mission to the border.

[]With Yoshi, Dai and the Border Rats: You had gotten the Unenviable task of defending the eastern border. Great.

[]At the Hospital with Tsunade: You had helped Tsunade out with a surgery, and now you were sitting on the roof, drinking some contraband whisky.

[]With Jiraiya at the Daily Leaf Headquarters: Jiraiya wanted to talk to you about a new book.

[]With Danzo and Morded, Spoiling Hideki: You wanted to pinch the Cute Babies cheeks.

[]With Orochimaru: He had some information he needed help sending to the Hokage.

AN: Enjoy.

And depending on where you are when the war begins, you can prevent... issues.

[X]With Orochimaru: He had some information he needed help sending to the Hokage.

I feel that we would have pinched the cute baby cheeks already and Hideki would be mid-nap.

[X]At the Academy with Shiro: You were helping Shiro with his reading homework when the red Flag came.

Little bro, little bro, we help little bro.

...well, at least it's consistent?

Look, spending time with the bestie is best, see.
