"Saiyans. To some, a blight upon the galaxy. To others? An incredibly intriguing case of mystery. Such powerful warriors, so full of pride, and yet? Unwilling to see their own flaws. In some words, arrogant. Hmph. Not every Saiyan I have encountered has been like this, young one. You see, I am a seeker, that is what I do in life, and much like you Saiyans I seek a challenge worthy of my time. Perhaps I have found it within your own species, and… Perhaps not. Only time shall tell."

This, is not Universe 7. This, is something entirely different than before.

Welcome back, your Highness.

Sadala fell many centuries ago, and with that fell the unification of your race, the saiyans. Despite being but a mere child you know of the ramifications this had upon your species.

You are well educated by your family and saiyan educators about Tarble, the world which a portion of the refugee saiyans of Sadala took over. It is ruled via a single monarch policy, regardless of marital status of the saiyan on the throne.

You are also well versed in the nomadic saiyan fleet, who's ways were meant to be much less hostile and warrior like than those of Tarble. They even have an annual ritual Rite of Passage where they send their youth away into the stars in hopes of them bringing back something for the Fleet. Unlike Tarble, they have a King and a Queen.

However, these are not the only saiyans in the galaxy. There are those who instead chose to live a different life. There are also those who have deserted or ran away from these two saiyan factions.

You wish you had been so lucky, as now these two factions live under the boot of the Galactic Emperor's Grand General, despite his seemingly peaceful dealings, you are well aware of just how powerful and intimidating this… Man, truly is.

But, there is one important question, Your Highness….

Who are you?

[ ] Prince Colarab Tarble, Heir to Planet Tarble. Son of Queen Mira Tarble, and son of an unknown Saiyan Warrior. Born in the same year as the princess of the fleet. You have been under intense training under the direction of your mother since you could stand on two legs. The politics of Tarble and it's people have been drilled into your head since you could think. A warrior Prince with proper edicate, not just blind fury as your mother would say. You shall only become King when you best your mother in a duel, as is custom. Yet, there's something strange amidst the political scale. Admiral Inglund himself has kept an eye upon your progress in training, as well as other saiyan youth. And asides from that there is talk that your mother has made a deal of peace with those Fleet saiyans which will result in you and two others from Planet Tarble being sent out upon a Rite of Passage with those of the Fleet. You are none too keen to be sent off amongst the stars with those filth. You also have an older brother and a younger sister. You do not know who your true father is.

Age: 10

Pros: Beloved by Tarble saiyans. Relentless fighter. Determined nature. Heir to the Throne.

Cons: Almost blind arrogance. Bullheaded nature. Loveless relationship with mother and siblings. Cannot sense power levels.

[ ] Princess Soko Cowl, Princess of the Stars. Daughter of King Finnyl and Queen Punkin. You have a younger brother who is currently half your age. Your father himself elected to train you the instant you could walk, and it has been…. Not easy. Your mother had decided to educate you herself, but not in the things you had wished. Instead, saiyan politics were shoved down your throat as well as saiyan beliefs. Your young mind filled with reasons to want to get away. You have been looking forward to your Rite of Passage for as long as you can remember. Yet, you have heard the rumours that the prince of Tarble himself shall be sent forth with you. You are unsure as to how this shall go down.

Age: 10

Pros: Returning original main character! Heir to the Throne. Tough. Adventurous. Unyielding willpower.

Cons: Abusively harsh training regiment by her father. Is simply a pawn by her father to further his agenda. Being molded into what he wants her to be. Disconnect between her and her brother. Is seen as a disappointment by her father. Cannot sense power levels.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, it has certainly been long enough, hasn't it? My apologies for taking as long as I have, life has been…. Interesting, shall we say?
Obviously, things have undergone a dramatic reboot. Myself included.
Anyways, let's not stay on that drovel and instead dive straight into the point. Character choice. Yes, this time there's a choice. :D
Credits:
  1. Once again, inspiration from the awesome @PoptartProdigy.
  2. Any and all artwork I find I shall link back to, though depending upon my digging around I may add spoilers for the link due to the possible nature of their artwork.
Finding an acceptable image for Soko is difficult.
And yes, to those of you who knew the original thread and quest, I was indeed LightningShow, but I have a nice new username now.
Rules, Information, and Mechanics
WIP as the quest goes along.
Rules:
  1. All site rules apply.
  2. Omakes are acceptable, not required nor expected.
  3. I encourage discussion whenever possible. But please, be civil.
  4. Respect one another on here.
Information:
Mechanics:
Omake Rewards:
In the case of an omake, I shall potentially be giving out rewards. I shall be borrowing from PoptartProdigy once again, splitting the rewards based upon how compliant they are to the canon of this quest.
Canon Omakes - This should be obvious. If I deem the omake as canon to the quest, then it is factual and indeed it happened. They shall be gaining a reward towards a roll that is thematic to the omake.
Compliant - These omakes are loosely capable of being canon, or, could have been a day dream of a character. Once again, a lesser reward towards the thematic omake.
Non-Canon - These omakes are in no way canon to the story. These shall simply add a bonus to a die roll.
Important NPC Information
Queen Mira Tarble
Queen Mira Tarble is the most recent Queen of the Saiyan ruled planet of Tarble. She is the mother of the three Royal children, Brockli Tarble, Colarab Tarble, and Spira Tarble.
Mira is, as any Saiyan should be, a warrior Queen. However, she herself does not train her own children. One does not train those whose role is to take your place. She is cunning, and quick of wit. A sharp mind with a sharp stance for politics. She must be, for having to deal with not only her own people, but the Saiyans of the Fleet's supposed push for peace between the two nations as well as the Grand Admiral's presence in the Saiyan affairs.
King Finnyl Cowl
King Finnyl Cowl is an aging Saiyan, just over the hill of his prime. He still has his years yet. He is not the ideal King for the Fleet. The man has grown calloused and cold, unloving towards his own children and only wishing to see the Saiyan race reunite. He has his own secret agenda, hidden away even from his younger wife. His children are simply extensions of himself, and are to be raised as such.
The King wishes to unify the Fleet and the Saiyans of Tarble through Soko and Colarab, or perhaps one of the other children.
Grand Admiral Inglund
The Grand Admiral of the Imperial Fleet, and the highest in the chain of command outside of the Emperor themself. Admiral Inglund is a powerfully commanding force. He is known for his intelligence, and wit. The man's very presence demands respect to those before him.
Outworldly, he always comes off in a calm, collected manner. He often hides his appearance, though the reason is unknown.
Lore Screen
The Fall of Sadala
The planet of Sadala was the original Saiyan homeworld, where the species as well as a few others once lived and flourished. However, due to the nature of the Saiyans, wars eventually broke out between the various Kingdoms. With these wars, powerful warriors arose. These wars lasted for centuries, taking their toll upon the planet and eventually resulting in it no longer being inhabitable. The Saiyans, split as they were, evacuated their own home planet. And as told in legends amongst the Saiyans of today, the evacuation took place during the last great battle of the Saiyan Civil War, in which the birth of the Legend of the Super Saiyan has since arisen.
It has been around one thousand years since the Fall of Sadala.
The Saiyans of Tarble
The Saiyans of Tarble are the go to Saiyans under the rule of Grand Admiral Inglund for saiyan enforcers in his fleet. They are much more warrior like than the Fleet Saiyans, or at least they claim to be. They took the name of Tarble from a famed Saiyan Warrior, said to be the one Saiyan in history to become a Super Saiyan.
The Saiyan Fleet
These Saiyans made their claim to space by sending their young out on a Rite of Passage to earn their keep as adults. The goal is to gain allies, as well as materials to help aid the fleet. Or, at least it was until Admiral Inglund arrived and gained control of the Fleet. These Saiyans do not typically have trained Oozaru.
The Legend of the Super Saiyan
As is applies to this universe, the Legendary power of the Super Saiyan is nothing more than a mere story told. It often comes up when discussing the fall of Sadala, as some saiyans hypothesize that the conflict was waged between at least one Super Saiyan. As it pertains to modern day, it is little more than legend and myth. A story told to children to give them reason to train.
Rite of Passage
Once Saiyan children come of age(12), they are sent out in groups of three to far of and distant planets to continue their training as well as to gain life experiences. They are tasked with improving themselves, and finding something or many somethings to improve life back upon the fleet.
In the event that a Saiyan refuses to return to the Saiyan fleet, they are allowed to do so unless certain circumstances apply: They are a child of nobility or the Prince/Princess. In the event that a child of said circumstance turns their back on the Saiyan race, a task force is sent out to the planet they are on according to how long they have been out, if it's near the end it's relatively swiftly, if it's near the beginning then they'll give it a few years before they send the task force.
In the event of all three Saiyan Pilgrims dying/losing their Scouters, a search party will be sent out to search the planet to learn how and why the Saiyans died. If the Saiyans are still alive, they are to be provided with a new set of Scouters, as it is not a rescue mission.
Saiyans are expected to be away from the fleet a minimum of five years, and a maximum of twelve.
[X] Prince Colarab Tarble
Prince of Tarble Saiyans! Bringer of death, destroyer of worlds! and wrecker of our Enemies shit! that's the person we'll need to lead the way for his kingdom.
As if current, I believe that Prince Tarble is currently winning the vote by one. I shall be keeping this portion of the vote open for a tad longer.
Next vote shall be upon lead character's strengths and weaknesses, as well as learned combat abilities.
Adhoc vote count started by OfSpaceandTime on Apr 18, 2019 at 8:26 PM, finished with 14 posts and 9 votes.
[X] Princess Soko Cowl
Oh ho! This has returned! Let's do this! Much fun as being a Vegeta is, I'd rather not get our ass constantly get kicked by letting others gain new transformations. Nice to see ya back QM!
Alright, I shall be leaving the vote up for another twelve hours or so. Or, at least until I wake up in the morning.
I have updated lore and NPC character's that we'll know of by default.
Come on guys, let's be the princess. Blind arrogance has been shown in the previous version of this quest to fall to cunning trickery.
