[X] Plan Freedom and Bordem
-[X]The Hokage's Bodyguard: It seems the Hokage needs someone else to join him and Ren at the diplomatic meeting. And none of the other Genin want to join him.
-[X]Let the Beast Out: Time to let Kagami out on a stroll. It's not against any laws now, so you can't be punished.
-[X]Fly Away: You're going to summon a Hawk and get a lay of the land, maybe you can find out where you are going to be spending your chunin exam at.

We didn't have much time to spend with Ren and as much as I would like to spend time with Orochimaru and Sakumo, I want something different for once, and I'm pretty sick from the whole "Blame Danzo" meme around here, so I'm doing this instead.

Fly away now! Fly away now! Fly Awaaaay!!!

[X] Plan Relax and Explore
-[X]A Hot Bath: There's a bathhouse, and your team and every female member of the party is going there to get cleaned up. You might as well hop onto the bandwagon.
-[X]A Family Gathering: Orochimaru bought some Dango… it would be a shame for him to eat it all alone.
-[X]A Monument of Stone: So that's the famous Monument of Stone? And whos the old man standing there?

[X]Hell for Danzo: It is time to Tease Danzo and Mordred.

@Magoose you've definitely learned the ways of AP hell. Lots of things we want to do, so little time to do them

I'm probably gonna abstain from voting since what I want is everything

I love the fact that Iwa is actually one of the friendlier powers to Konoha right now. Taki tried to kill one Hokage, Kumo successfully killed another, Kiri has to be grating on Uzu just for territorial reasons, and Suna... is Suna. They have probably changed their diplomatic alignment seventeen times since last Tuesday. We are having to put genuine effort into forgetting the whole Taki business for the sake of... business.

Iwa at the moment is juggling a few client states that happen to be on the wrong side of a mountain range, which Konoha is probably competing for but not with any real zeal, and has a little bit of PTSD from a Madara-based proctology exam a couple decades back.

Remember kids, there are three easy steps to forming an Allience and really fucking over the political balance of power.

1. Be in a meeting with their boss.
2. Prove your ideologies are practically the same without bringing up the boogeyman Madara.
3. Ignore everything else:V

To be fair, lots of people tried to kill the First Hokage, and I'm pretty sure he became friends with a lot of them. He specifically left the guy that tried to kill him alive, and Konoha took a job to reprogram the guy in this universe.

One important thing that is needed is to save the Uzumaki Clan in this timeline. Their sealing techniques and incredible vitality must be kept as a military asset for future shinobi and jinjuriki!

And most people who tried to kill him are dead.

Yeah... that's going to be difficult and out of your control.

Edit: It's all up to Kiri.

edit: I just think it might end badly if we were to fail Kagami's roll or something.

Out of our control, yes. But not outside of our area of effect. We've already kicked over the geopolitical chessboard, and then set it on fire, and now suddenly we are all playing... backgammon or something? Nobody is quite sure how that works, but we just are.

In canon it took a coalition of powers to bring down Uzu. Kiri could, but they would take severe casualties if they went this alone and anyone is going to be a little risk adverse while trying to feel out the new paradigm. Honestly, if I were them, right now I'd be playing nice and trying to make a deal with Uzu on the side. The only thing really tying Uzu to Konoha, beyond momentary convenience, is the distant blood relation between their ruling clan and Konoha's former and now mostly dead ruling clan. It is still convenient, but its good to plan for the day it isn't.

I still figure that Uzu wasn't blameless for its own destruction in canon. It seems like the sort of thing that has a nasty, untold story attached to it. I also still figure that Konoha itself must have either chosen to let it burn or outright helped with the torching.

True. Though I must say that you only made that splash because of Madara and an absurd amount of luck.

Oh I have an idea for it for this story and let me tell you something... it ain't pretty. And involves all sorts of... well realpolitik bullshit.

As for Konoha not coming in to help... I just think some bad shit happened that forced them to have some bad blood between them... at the worst possible time for Uzisho.

And the luck keeps coming and the Madara keeps coming and they don't stop coming. Its not even good luck. Its just weird luck, the sort of shit you get in Venture Brothers.

At this point we just need to lash enough chaos butterflies together to draw our chariot into the sky.

It might end horribly, it will probably end horribly, but it will also probably end in a way that honestly surprises everyone here. Including you.

If it does go the path of maximum realpolitik, this will have one hell of an effect on the Crusaders. And we are already thinking in genuinely dangerous directions. Even Danzo is thinking outside of his normal confines.

I'm confused in what reguards is Danzo out of charecter.
I won't say 'out of character' because the Danzo we know is the product of three wars, two of which didn't happen. What canon gave us was a man who could not accept the very idea that people could work for a common interest without blind loyalty, that loyalty could be anything but blind, and that mankind must be treated as a Hobbesian beast: Held at bay with a stick in one hand led by a Pavlovian bell held in the other.

There is still a lot of that there, but he seems to be taking the lesson that sometimes you just have to play the ball where it lies. Sometimes you don't have to be the hard man making the hard choice. Sometimes just working with people just works out. Sometimes you let people be people rather than turn them into empty, worthless machines.

He is still a hard man, paranoid and ruthless, but at least he doesn't seem actually eager to say 'it was the only way' followed by making things worse for everybody forever.
