Make reality our bitch? Alright. How's this? We start by layering genjustus over the place changing up the layout of the building. Familiar halls become buildings from konoha. This will give our ninja an early advantage. Then we start warping areas into locations that don't exist. A jungle temple full of booby-traps, a series of pillars suspended above an endless pit.
Then, when everyone is good and panicked, we start altering universal constants. Spots where gravity is increased 100fold, spots with no gravity, an entire hallway where iron and steel have the consistency of Taffy, rooms that are stuck in a timeloop lasting exactly 3.75 seconds. They want to go up against us? We'll reject their reality and substitute our own.

Their escort mission was a success. Nothing really happened, except that Mikasa opened up to her team. It has done wonders for her mental health.
Reward: Mikasa is beginning to heal. Her team will get a +10 bonus to all rolls. She is ramping up their training.

Kagami Mangekyou Roll:1D100 => 96
Team Survival Roll:1D100 => 88+50(Mangekyou)= 138
It almost went wrong. Kagami was caught in an ambush and his team needed to fight on their own.
They lost, they were bound and captured by the bandits… the two missing-nin who were with them were not in the mission.
They knew exactly what to do to take you down, and capture your team.
And then they hurt them. In front of him, with broken arms and broken legs, they tortured his team, beating them within an inch of their lives. They wanted something from him, but he did not know what.
Kagami prayed to Amaterasu, for a sign, for something to help them.
Then he felt his eyes bleed. "AMATERASU!"
They burned. Corpses burned with black flame.
His team was safe... He cared not for the power that he used to do it.
Reward: Kagami now has Mangekyou. His team is safe but wounded.
Team Hiruzen:1D100 => 84+20(He's the goddamn hokage)=104
Yoshi's Victory:1D100 => 92
It seems the tournament was raided by an unknown force. At the final round. Unfortunately for the attackers, every single contestant, observer and two kage took offence to that childish display and kicked their ass.
Yoshi won, and is extremely smug about it, because he was still the only person standing in the arena, after the fight.
There also may have been some diplomacy going on and Hiruzen pulled some magic out of his hat… because they just signed a nonaggression pact with Konoha.
Iwa, signed a nonaggression pact, with Konoha… One of their mortal enemies.

He got up later that knight looted the valuables, took the sword and cleaned up other looters around him for money, clothes, and food. He'd done his part as a mercenary so he took the blade as payment.
It was a good blade and served him well across the centuries to follow. Its blade never dulling due to his near constant care and diligence.

It was a few around the time he turned 100 when someone actually recognized him by the blade, An Uchiha battlemaster who had wandered into the Land of Claws...still had the eyes somewhere in his cart.
The battle lasted a day and a night. You were still burning the black flame he called upon you, it sputtered out after a year but it still hurt. That had lead to you realizing what the sword was...The Grasscutter.
Truthfully you never bothered to ask about it. Oh well.
So you wandered hoping to fight, grow food, and teach if you really felt like it.
It went like that for almost 300 years.

Your body moved towards the battle drawing your blade with practiced ease...you ran towards the battle as the explosives went off all around the village.

He gave a smile as he parried. "Come now...give me a fight worth remembering. You don't seem to be the type to give me one."
Miniko looked terrified for a moment. "So you finally came out of hiding."
"I only stopped because you ruined a sale of my vegetables, I worked hard for those!! Now, you are going to pay."
You charged the Child and prayed your blade was true once again.
