Oof. Here's hoping there's no unintended consequences like either Aka, the memories of one or more of her past friends, or Kagami end up taking over the body of our younger brother.

We would not be asked to help if they had another readily avalible option.

The beast can't leave our mind, otherwise we would both die. Niether can Aka as her being is becoming part of us.

And her memories can't really do anything.

If we don't help, There will be consequences. If you help there will be consequences.

Either way there will be consequences.

Then this would still be happening, and we'd have no chance at all to possibly help. Considering how things are going, that path would have probably led to us finding out about our godfather, and then afterwards finding out our mother and/or brother died in childbirth.

Then there's also the fact that we have an opportunity now to find out some 'hidden truth' that seems pretty important.

Purely because I'm arbitrary and have no investment in the lives of our family.

The actual effect is arbitrary here since we have no information one way or the other but the intent is clear: We want to help. Are we capable of helping? That is up in the air. We might not even be able to trust our senses right now since right now we are dealing with ludicrous amounts of mind manipulation mojo. We might not even be awake right now.

But I'd rather be the sort of person who tries.

The Beast and Aka can't directly help us but we need to keep a sensory line running so they can fact check, at least if feasible.

In general you don't brute force the Beast. I mean, maybe you could... maybe... but in general it seems like trying to take down a professional boxer by attacking his fists with your face.

Well you are awake. After all, you can get knocked out and dragged back home if you refuse to help and fail on the roll to stay.

But you won't run the risk of losing your sanity and remain a vegetable for the remainder of your days.

But if you do well helping out... Good things may happen. Very good things... Like a happy baby boy being born. And having both your parents.:V
