That works if you have somebody in the equivalent of a dark alleyway and a three on one advantage. When you end up performing a dynamic entry through the window of a large conference room and find its already filled to the brim with more murderhobos than you thought existed. Clearly something has gone terribly wrong and, if you are trying to track somebody down out of that mess, you do that knowing full well that somebody else is already watching both your prey and you... happy to slit the throat of whoever 'wins' and take the prize.

So I ask you, my hypothetical brand-spanking-new hunter nin of (checks notes) Yugakure... are you a bad enough dude?

Honestly? I think that is my meaning in life, at least as far as this thread goes. I'm barely voting but I'm having one hell of a time more or less being literary Satan and poking at unrealized wasp nests until they exist... and then laughing my ass off as said hornets continue to not make things worse. And when it does inevitably get worse it will get worse in a way that distorts any original conception of Kishimoto's plot into an infinitely recursive knot fit to be tied only by Boyscout Cthulhu.

As DC Comics showed, the Devil is a bartender. And I think that our die rolls have proven that god is an alcoholic.

    Waterfall is clearly rocking all of the tricks that Kakuzu walked away with in canon, with their goddamn first generation jinchuriki. Assuming that that wasn't actually Kakuzu and the village was smart enough this time around to avoid alienating the kid that made a 'kage notice.

    Zetsu is down a body or two. And all semblances of basic dignity.

    Root... I don't think they are going to have enough basic numbers to be a threat by the end of this, at this rate. They were nowhere near the worst losers here in pure numbers but this is take number two. Somebody else is fishing a heaping pile Root masks out of the torso cavity of a Zetsu, and all that.

    EDIT: Thinking about it, Taki actually has a lot of shit for a minor village, The techniques kakizu stole, A jinchuriki, That heroes Water which i think is filler. Seriously

    To be fair, it could also be their Kage Jinchuriki tactical nuke god. Or whatever Jutsu the villages are holding out on us.

    Also, Konoha Anbu didn't do so bad. Hopefully one of them will survive and tell Hiruzen or mom about some of the kids being alive. And Iwa...

    Well, right now they have a lot of bargaining power. And took zero casualties and more or less have uncontested control over this theater of operations until someone sends backup. Iwa, Konoha Anbu, Mist, and Whirlpool are the only ones with enough there to matter and I doubt they would try after seeing... that.

    Hell, if they fielded their jinchuriki, I have to wonder if this shit happened because the demon (Chomei) didn't recognize exactly what Zetsu was and just start cooperating one hundred and ten percent. That could cause issues considering that demons can gab.

    Konoha and Uzu are loosely allied and would probably be willing to write a check here. Taki has always been a wildcard (serously: they tried to stab Hashirama in the face) but I don't doubt that the other powers would be willing to use the original jinchuriki treaty Hashirama forged as an excuse.

    Kakuzu is the jinchuriki.

    Well, probably not, but if that isn't a show stopper I don't know what is.
