[X]The Fights: You see the hand to hand combat Aka is doing… so much of what she does seems impossible to you, yet it all seems possible now. (Taijutsu: Krav Maga is set to Mastery)

I think we need our own friends first before we take Memories of The friends.

[X]The friends: Aka's memories included the ones of her friends… Deeply treasured ones. (??? Not All Those Who Die Are Gone Forever)

Something something, real illusions of her friends to help us out?

[X]The Weapons: The Weapons Aka is using to take down people miles away, it seems impossible for you to create. But now you can. (You can now make guns with your bloodline.)

Rolled: d100 = 81+5 (The Academy)= 86
Rolled: rolls d100 = 10+5 (The Academy)=15

That's an average roll of 66, with 3 of them being high 90s... do the dice love us or what?

I particularly liked the 99 for interacting with our inner demon, though a nat 100 giving us a free highlevel skill is pretty damn sweet as well.

(And honestly... being Tsunade's rival doesn't sound like something that should result from such a sub-par roll. Sure, she's antagonistic for now, but even then she's acknowledging us as someone she can consider an equal, at least subconsciously. If she just snubbed us and encouraged her admirers to do the same, that would *way* worse for us, long-term.)

Are you forgetting the interlude about Madara planning to kidnap kids from Konoha?

On some level I did, but it still falls into that narrow band of utility. Those we can kill with guns and those that can pull that off in Konoha is a pretty narrow band.

Well, neglecting outright subversion of people in the village, which I don't recall being one of Madara's tricks. Zetsu might be able to pull off replacing someone (don't really remember his powers) but I'm pretty sure he falls under the "guns don't really help" category.

No, they wish to see me cry.

Being her rival means the Freek squad we've been building is about to get ostracized by everyone and anyone that Tsunade has pull with.

I wanted to make that its own omake, but oh well, less work for me.

Just how much do elite Jonin get paid, since the bounty on mums head is probably in the 30 millions like Asuma and Kakashis I'd have assumed that she could afford a funeral.

Honestly, more than anything we need to bolster the protagonist's capacity to center themselves. Find value in a world that wants to take everything from them and make them into a bitter, broken, hollow parody of themselves to the point that the beast would be euthanasia.

Anything else can could be obtained elsewhere, would take too long to do anything worthwhile with at the moment, would only be really practicable for someone older, or would be scarcely a footnote.

Its better to have an unshakable foundations when all the rest of the universe is made out of quicksand.

I know the naruto world isn't a happy place if you apply realism, but the shounen genre throws realism out the window. No need to make things overly dark.
Its a nasty story that repeats itself again again in canon, I will point out. Almost everyone wearing the villain hat in that series was someone who started out with good intentions but who ended up losing their way due to the realpolitik that permeates things. Some gave up on their good intentions while other pursued them ruthlessly beyond all reasonable desire, bringing tragedy to the next generation. One of the main themes of the series was that the only true enemy is fear and cynicism.

Naruto can be classified as shounen but, while not exactly realistic, it stuck to some pretty damn dark themes rather firmly. There was always hope, the idea that with enough sheer audacity you could break out of that circle of suffering and have the world be right, and there were always good things worth fighting for during the interim, but it took a whole string of miracles to reach that end.

I'd like the protagonist here to be able to weather all the hurts on that road and come out the other side without becoming one more well intentioned villain. I want them to keep some shred of idealism.
