Usually if such a vote came up I'd just burn some fresh spreadsheets and call three times @Azel's name and then let him handle the issue.
Seems wrong not to do that here.
Maybe call Diomedon? He (or she?) seemed like a decent second in that area.
I'm afraid that no tithe of spreadsheets will be able to sway me to make that choice for you. However, I will freely answer questions.

Haven't seen Diomedon around much lately and he definitely never posted here.

[X] [Government] There should be one of them who is responsible to make choices for the whole tribe. (Government becomes Tribal Chiefdom)
[] [Government] Duarchy Tribal Chiefdom
-[] Two heads are better than one with more decisive decisions compared to a council or everyone, Two shall convene to guide the tribe.

@Azel hows the Duarchy sound? Idk how else to put it :p
Keep in mind that two equals disagreeing would dead-lock your government.

Other then that, go for it. That's certainly possible, though it would count as a Council.

Well maybe a Triarchy?
Hows that?
3 Men appointed, however two with most of the power and the third with a tie breaker otherwise is an advisory role? Is that possible Or is it to advanced?

[X] Plan Making everyone happy as long as there are few enough to actually make that possible
-[X] [Government] Each of the three groups should name someone to speak in their name and hash out decisions for everyone. (Government becomes Tribal Council)
-[X] [Action] Go hunting.
--[X] In the valley.
-[X] [Action] Look into replicating the methods to preserve food you have heard about from other tribes.
-[X] [Action] Your tents are ill suited for this places weather. Begin making more sturdy and permanent homes. (Takes 3 Actions total, can be spread out over multiple turns.)

A bit on the long side with the name, but whatever.
I have mentioned the reason for the actions before, we are doing what our people want to do in a way that doesn't hinder our preparations for the winter.
If we can eat the fresh meat now, the gathered food will go in storage.
If we manage to preserve it even better.

Come on guys lets do a Triarchy gov! It even expands power and forms new ways of influence beyond just a regular Council or Chiefdom, it establishes advisors and it splits power between two and a third to regulate and maintain.

I would have preferred democracy, but it's likely that it would devolve to oligarchy before metalworking.

[x] [Government] This night has shown that the tribe can make choices just fine on its own. Name someone to oversee discussions to prevent strife, but let the group decide as before. (Government becomes Tribal Democracy)

I'm willing to stick with tribal democracy until we grow to the size where it is no longer viable, however given the fact that we're in a bit of a crisis situation I think a Tribal Triarchy is necessary. Even if it is temporary.

Seems centralized enough to get things done, and more stable/reliable than chieftain.
Well, not really for the latter? Since we have to deal with the Factions butting in, the whimsical and selfish nature of factions are going to plague us for quite a while. Luckily it won't be as broad as Political Parties would be in a modern democracy tho they will be more entrenched in their focuses.

… You do know that the Triarchy basically has the same number of people 'in charge' as the Council right? It's just one is the tie-breaker.

And the Triarchy/Chiefdom advantage is that it is stable, because people know who's going to be in charge for a long time... Of course, that's also one of it's problems, which is why there's the push for a Triarchy to limit how much one bad guy can do.

The triarchy idea would also have to deal with factions, since they will obviously try to get one of their own into one of the two leading positions.

Chieftains will always be compromise options by necessity, since everyone has to live with the choice. As you get a broader government, it becomes far more likely that factions band together and trade favor with each other to get their preffered candidates into offices.

Well yes, but its lessened slightly, instead of a council fueled by the factions we have Leaders and an Advisor selected from the for now 3 Factions. This creates a stable system and as we advance and more factions are created and disbanded our leadership and administration will grow and advance.
Its about a balance. Preferably the least influential one gets a chance at being a main chief instead of just an advisor but obviously won't be the case due to human nature...
(You get what i am trying to say right QM? I suck at words :p )
