Just so we are all aware, I would strongly caution against viewing social posts as not having any kind of utility vs improving the ship. Growing closer to others is an important element in this Quest and it will unlock further options in the future. Not taking any time for yourself to relax in a more casual context also will have consequences that may or may not offset your original gain. I am not trying to curtail your choices here, but I would consider your options carefully.

Let's get to know our mech pilots better especially since we ensured they would be unharmed. Also I am hopeful by working with both pilots we might get a bonus to using mech scanners due to working better together

Establishing new bonds. Also one of these will probably unlock an option to help with the experimental mecha.

I actually do want to read a short arc where the side character North who has always been perfect has overworked herself.

On the other hand it doesn't unlock any options to help with the experimental mecha, because the staff were trained to maintain a standard Banner not something that uses drones.

At times, it feels like our ship is literally limping its way to the finish line. Now that we have even more VIPs to take care of, in addition to the civvies that we must absolutely protect, we're gonna need every advantage we can get if we're to reach a friendly base. That, and I do want our damaged scanners to be better at its job.
