I have a conversation planned for the next segment but I don't actually have the contents of the conversation planned. What would you guys like to read? Throw me some suggestions.
There is a way to get dust without owing anyone a favor or having to pay exorbitant amounts of money but it involves the power of friendship and I'm not giving any more hints than that.
Invisible text. Anyone have any ideas what the secret way is?

Call Nora over and threaten to have her break the merchant girl's kneecaps if she doesn't shell out protection dust?

... That's a kind of friendship, right? Helping your friends make and/or bury the bodies?
Listen if all it was just making a call for knee caping she'd be out of business already

[X] Forget it. You'll just pay. You dig lien out of your pocket and just shell out. Your wallet is going to be hurting, and you might have to find a job or some way to earn more money lest you go crawling back to your uncle at some point but you're not going to go around owing favors to anyone.

Time to forget a conversation

I agree, but I could see her 'accepting' Piper's offer. After all unspoken assumptions are not legally binding agreements and this is business, not something between friends. If she thinks that selling something for an honest price is enough to get a favor out of Pyrrha Nikos (who is probably somewhat used to people offering these favors freely as a way to curry influence) then more the fool is she.

You don't understand how these thing work, do you?

1. Phyrra won't accept that kind of slimy line of arguement, because her pride, I mean just see the the 'refuse' option, where there is invisi text to underline just how much it goes against her pride
2. Even if you some manage tp break the deal, breaking these 'unspoken assumptions' is a good way to ruin her reputation, I mean you don't want to do the favor sure, go ahead and be my guest, but don't expect people ever offering stuff like that again if you do once you have proven untrustworthy in regards to these things

I mean honestly,
The way I can see Phyrra breaking the deal would be if Piper would ask something that insults Phyrras pride more then breaking the deal would do, anything else I find rather unlikely given Phyrras character

Anyway,

In regards to the leadership issue which were raised by Weiss during the chapter, I suggest to get Jaune as our leader, like in canon, because with him being a Jeanne D'Arc expy, his leadership skill will probably be off the charts when shit gets real, and his people-skills will probably also be pretty good,

Well either him or Nora, who should also be a really good leader, as long as we channel our inner vikings as a Thor expy

Also who else was surprised that Blake is a shrine maiden here?
I mean, given the whole mythical gimmic going on, I totally expected her to be more like Belle from the Beauty and the Beast, and not a japanese priestress

Break the deal? There is no deal to break, she said it herself, it's just a small favor since she is a fan. What could we possibly owe someone for not robbing us blind? That's just common decency. If she has different expectations than that is her problem. Who would care what this price gouging two-bit merchant has to say?

[X] Weiss spots your frown. "Pyrrha," she says with deliberate casualness, like she's trying not to have you lose face. "Since we're friends why don't I cover for you?"

Because we need more Weiss in our life.

It's fine. It's not like Achilles turned down his armor and equipment, which were gifts from the gods. Weiss is also a goddess, so things should work out, right?

...

I'm tempted to call in Nora, but honestly this is probably the most suitable option available, and I don't want to jump through hoops trying to figure out the Secret Golden True Write-In Answertm.

Yeah, we aren't going to be owed favors to anyone- I don't trust Piper at all; the whole "fan" thing is pretty clearly just an attempt to get on our good side, imo, and there's simply no need to accept such a sleazy deal in the first place. Whereas Weiss seems relatively forthright and unlikely to screw us over, given that she clearly idolizes us and willing to go to the trouble of buying the dust for us despite her reservations about the prices mere seconds ago. While Pyrrha definitely has her pride, there's a difference between owing someone a favor in order to get what you want, and taking advantage of an offer that is clearly to your own benefit. Besides, we aren't made out of money and it'd be far more of a hit to our pride to run out of lien, as Pyrrha herself makes clear, so this is the lesser of the two evils.

Guys why would using the merchant being a fan to get a discount while owing her a favor be a bad thing. This version of Pyrrha is channeling the leader of the myrmidons so she is not going to have problems using her hard won fame and reputation to gain advantages or save things like money in comparison to the Pyrrha we saw in the show. Lets take the merchant up on her offer and see what she needs help with because Phrrhachiles is not one to turn down a challenge or a chance to save someones ass to gain a follower or minion.
[X]Piper watches your face twist. You watch her eyes calculate a bit before she suddenly smiles at you. "You know what? Why don't I give you a bit of a discount."

Still not sure what the power of friendship is, so this is a shot in the dark.
[X] Look to Blake. Surely a traveling shrine maiden knows a thing or two about negotiations.

I would've gone with this, but Weiss already finished haggling and has made her purchases.
[] Team up with Weiss against the merchant to haggle over the exorbitant costs.

We do not even know what price the merchant is charging except that it will set Pyrrha back a good bit. Weiss is not the person you go to when you want to know what a "fair" price for dust is and considering that they are in a forest full of grim the merchant took a very big risk coming with enough dust that she could sell to multiple people so a high price seems fair, with in reason of course. Owing a small favor to a traveling merchant who can not be that well of if she was willing to risk what she did in act change for a discount that will save us money we need is a good deal in my book. Plus their is the fact that Piper seams to be hiding her aperance to make herself look bigger which suggests that she is relatively small. If that is the case then I want to know more about her because what she took courage.

Honestly given the evidently ridiculous amount of effort Weiss went to to haggle to a lower price, I'm not convinced your characterization of her is fair here. Also we can't know if it's a "small favor" because we have no clue what the favor is. Honestly given the way that she seemed to be buttering us up a bit when we ask for the catch seems... rather sleazy to me, to be honest. I'm not seeing many real reasons to trust her, even if her efforts to bring the dust here might be admirable, depending on the exact circumstances. When it comes down to it, I trust somebody that clearly admires us to give us a fairer deal than a mysterious merchant that we only just met.

That said, even if most of me is saying that the offer will be decently fair, I'm paranoid that the favor will be "please be on my team" which could definitely be deeply problematic. I still don't like the option to pay for it ourselves and I dislike the merchant choice, so I'm taking the third fourth option.
