hey torchwick and neo are fucking amazing you heathenNone of the characters in RWBY are all that good anyway tbh. Especially the earlier you go.

You say that as though I didn't give up on RWBY becoming good half way through the second season, and mostly kept up by occasionally reading up on it when bored. Torchwick had potential but damn was he on the wrong shit show.
Neo is literally why though. Deviant art tier oc based on a genderbent Torchwick cosplay. Named after an ice cream flavor. Which is her color scheme. Kill me.
But praise God, this is not canon RWBY. The Saints will it!
I suppose I have less patience for shitty things that took time away from dead fantasy. Lot good that did me, because now dead fantasy is literally dead. And RWBY continues.Which is why they killed him off, and neo surely would have been worse had they had the time to give her lines
Really, Volume 2? I made it to most of the way through Volume 5 before I had that revelation. I think that was when meaningless side characters who had bad VAs (as opposed to the meh ones most of RWBY has) started getting way too much screentime.
Zeus kept cockblocking Diomedes from killing Hector and would've killed Aeneas too if Apollo and Aphrodite didn't bail him outI thought they both had one of those moments, Diomedes' was just more impressive
[X] Burst past him. You're confident enough in your skills that you can find the relic before him, no matter how odd his start was. You just couldn't afford to let him get the upper hand.
Very tired of Jaune. Even a Jaune who is more of a Jeanne D'Arc expy doesn't tempt me that much, I would prefer just about anyone else. It's a shame our Achilles expy didn't think to sling the Mu Lan expy over her shoulder before diving into the forest, Nora's reaction would have been gold.
I do like the take on characters as being more like their mythical counterparts. Very refreshing take on things... I'll be interested to see if team RWBY's semblances differ.

Not wanting to ship two characters is not really the same as NTRing?
This is a really weird take.
(But yeah, I'm pretty firmly against us ending up with Jaune. Bullying him into helping us might have been fun though. :c)
I don't understand what point you are trying to make.
Like, what relevance does NTR have to this thread?
On second thoughts, I'm not sure I'm terribly interested in finding out.
I didn't bother quoting the specific part of that'd make the joke obvious enough for you, but I'm pretty sure if you took the time to not focus on only the Jaune hate you'll see it.
Smh Yang has been pulling ahead that even I'm starting to fall in line.Yeah, no way to deny that shipping is a large enough part of RWBY quests that it can overshadow other parts. Currently in a quest where we've basically been in a Cold [Waifu] War since the start of Beacon because any side that made a move would get backstabbed by the rest of the shippers banding together to sink the ship.
That being said, shipping only overshadows the rest of the quest if the GM allows it to since it's ultimately up to them to write. If they only fan the flames of shipping its gonna overshadow things. If they show more than just shipping -- hell, all they need to do is dangle a shinny in front of the questers -- the very short collective attention span of a quest will pass on to something else.
Also, I haven't seen many quests where there's an "insistence" that Pyrrha needs to chase after Jaune. Granted, Pyrrha being attracted to him pops up in a lot, but its canon, and I tend to have trouble in saying canon details should be changed even if the PC didn't effect the events by changing things from canon. Now as for this quest, we're the PC and we can alter that as we want, but I've only seen one other Pyrrha quest and I don't remember it lasting long enough to even get with Jaune -- that's little enough that anything we do will be novel.
Edit: And there's like half a dozen posts since I last looked. Damn, I really need to refresh the page more.
Ozpin is a lot more amazing if you view the character as just completely fucking around and treating the entire plot like a vacation
He doesn't even offer to take over the farmer kid's body when fighting Leo, which is basically massive disrespect
I liked Oz better when common fanon had him as a time manipulator. Not a body hopping immortal. I haven't been able to repress the headcanon that he let Cinder kill him so he could come back in a body to waifu Ruby.
He let Cinder kill him to escape the paperwork that comes with being a headmaster, obviously
