Shifting my vote to:[] Trail the boy. You can afford to watch him from a distance, and put on a last burst of speed at the end to outtake him and take a relic before him. From then on it's only a matter to making it back before him.
That way he can fall to any traps first and you don't have to deal with them.
Most votes are valid but will be interpreted through Pyrrha's personality and thus modified. This generally means it's best to specify why you're voting for a given option and justify why it falls in line with Pyrrha's IC motivations so I can understand what angle you're coming from and why you want to vote x.@Jemnite since I finally wouldn't be double posting for doing this, is the write-in I made valid? GM's tend to have very different standards when it comes to write-ins, and I've known some to get angry if players vote for one that hasn't been approved yet.

I'll generally read all the votes in the thread instead of relying on the votecounter because I actually like to read discussion.
So I've seen a good chunk of voters swap to burst past him, anyone want to share why they don't like the write-in to (hopefully) spark some discussion? People claiming tactical voting usually means they hold enough distaste for an option to bother changing their vote.
That's horrible reasoning/logic even if I understand the feeling behind it. Fuck the fanfic community, it's stupid. People that turn characters into grotesquely twitching organic blobs of ultimately meaningless power ups should be the ones blacklisted, not the characters.Oh wow, I read 1/5th of the first update and was already snickering. Overly narcassistic Pyrrha is absolutely hilarious.
[X] Burst past him. You're confident enough in your skills that you can find the relic before him, no matter how odd his start was. You just couldn't afford to let him get the upper hand.
TBH, I don't care to partner with Jaune at all. Literally anyone, even Cardin, would be better. Jaune's currently on my mental blacklist of characters who are tainted by the level of wank in the fanfic community.
YouIt's a vote that I see as shortsighted at best, worded in a way that early reminds me of the attitude I see frequently kill RWBY quests for me, and the intent of the characters interacting is likely destined by Jaune very likely showing her up anyways.
- The insistence that Pyrrha should chase after Jaune sits very badly with me and reminds me of why I tend to stop liking RWBY quests, despite liking them. A focus on shipping that excludes most other parts of the quest. Everything about that write in and the reasoning warns me that is to come.
- The complete pointlessness of it. Any of the options have a very good chance of Pyrrha becoming Jaune's partner as he uses his BS semblance to out maneuver her and her pride will at the very least force her to confront him on a constant basis. So there will be interactions between the two.
- The complete murdering of a series of interesting interactions as we get to see Pyrrha get her face rubbed into losing.
I'd change my vote too if it wasn't my initial choice.
Wouldn't this one be the Maidman of Orleans?Jeanne though. Maiden of Orleans.
I have to know what he's like.
Tfw Jaunne is the actual shounenmaiden of Orleans.Wouldn't this one be the Maidman of Orleans?
... Okay that's a bad pun. I'm not sure if it's worse as a 'Madman' pun or a 'Made Man' pun. I guess it depends on whether you prefer Lecter, or Scarface?
You're going to explain to me how me complaining the attitude of someone wanting to immediately partner with Jaune and say that's going to happen anyways, let's make it interesting with the default options is me insulting the author. You
What
So you basically think that Jemnite is a shitty writer? Because that's what you're saying.
How about your entire post being the assumption that, based on other people's works, everything in this quest will magically become utter shit if we interact with Jaunne? In other words everything you wrote. You're going to explain to me how me complaining the attitude of someone wanting to immediately partner with Jaune and say that's going to happen anyways, let's make it interesting with the default options is me insulting the author.

Then, for whatever reason, you've massively misinterpreted my points. Considering my rebuttal, admittedly sardonically, pointed out the overall sense of the points that my problem is 100% with the write in and the mind set behind it and not the author, and you responded with this, I guess I wasn't direct enough. How about your entire post being the assumption that, based on other people's works, everything in this quest will magically become utter shit if we interact with Jaunne? Because we all know that despite this quest being pretty cool so far, the next update will have it be shit if we interact with Jaunne. Because that's how RWBY quests work and the gm could not possibly have any other plans or ideas. If we get near enough to talk to Jaune then he'll spontaneously sprout wings and female Achilles will spend the rest of her life being shown up by him bc wewlad
That's not insulting to the author in the leeeeaaaaast.
The first one can be surmised as me viewing the vote as an intense dislike for the vote because the way it's worded reeks of shipping. Whether true or not, I can't get past that.

I've seen enough quests where the focus is not shipping to know this is not always true. Everyone just becomes incredibly passive aggressive about it and it ruins the fun of a quest for me instantly to try and participate in that environment. Don't get me wrong, there are numerous quests out there that buck the trend. That being said, shipping only overshadows the rest of the quest if the GM allows it to since it's ultimately up to them to write. If they only fan the flames of shipping its gonna overshadow things. If they show more than just shipping -- hell, all they need to do is dangle a shinny in front of the questers -- the very short collective attention span of a quest will pass on to something else.
At the risk of spoiling things, I'll just go ahead and say that Jaune doesn't know how to use his semblance yet, and Semblances work a bit differently here. Pyrrha's semblance for example, is not polarity but is a thematic panoply of abilities loosely defined by the keyword 'Unrivaled'. Steel turns away from her flesh for no weapon of mortal craft may strike her low. She stands on equal footing with the gods, supreme in the eyes of Selene.Any of the options have a very good chance of Pyrrha becoming Jaune's partner as he uses his BS semblance to out maneuver her and her pride will at the very least force her to confront him on a constant basis. So Pyrrha isn't destined to be shown up by Jaune. Then people's desire to get Jaune to join her as a teammate now as opposed to just relying on it happening is well founded. At the risk of spoiling things, I'll just go ahead and say that Jaune doesn't know how to use his semblance yet, and Semblances work a bit differently here. (As my GMPC Pyrrha must be more overpowered than any other character in this quest )
