Keyblader Apprentice Quest (Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep)

The Spirit
[x] The Spirit

In the end, you decide to have some fun with your spare time and find that Dream Eater Spirit. Your time is short and though you've detected some within those weird songs that had Mickey trapped, you've never actually seen a Dream Eater Spirit in person. You've seen some mild Nightmares manifesting in the streets of Midnight Town on occasion but Spirits are for the most part an unknown to you. They're supposed to be really friendly but the one's back home had clearly been far too busy dealing with all of the Nightmares native to your home to exit the realm of sleep for any real amount of time. You kind of feel bad for them.

So you look throughout the tower. Dream Eaters, though common in the realm of dreams, tend to be far shyer and far more elusive when inhabiting the waking world. It must be some sort of confidence thing, or maybe the difficulty in crossing between the worlds themselves.

The first areas you check are those that typically see the most activity from day to day, both yourself and Mickey see the Dream Eater Spirit on a regular basis so it must frequent at least one of those areas.

Hmm, unfortunately you don't actually find it at any of those places, so you choose to go look in the more hidden areas. The lunch room, storage closet, and the less commonly used training rooms are all empty so if it's still around it's probably in the library somewhere.

A look around the library reveals it to be just as warm and inviting as it was when you first visited the tower. If you were a Dream Eater Spirit, you'll be the first to admit that you'd want to camp out in this place whenever you had the opportunity.

Wait. What's that rustling?

You follow the sound of the noise around a corner to see… a strange multi-colored lion. You've seen the Nightmare version of it around Midnight Town, but those tend to have a much darker color scheme.

It's looking right at you. Some instinct of yours tells you that it's not going to attack you, but it's still really awkward…

What do you do?
[x] "… What are you doing outside of the Realm of Dreams?"
[x] "Hi?"
[x] You'd better send one of the brooms to fetch Master Yen Sid… He'll know what to do.
[x] Write in.

OOC: I'll try and get a sheet up for your transformed stat either tomorrow or the next day.

Hi
[x] Hi

The Dream Eater/Spirit Lion/thing looks at you with curiosity. It's clearly not hostile to you, so there's that going for it at the very least.

Even standing right next to the thing makes you feel lighter, and it's notably more pleasant than the general air you get when fight with a Nightmare.

"…Hi" You say tentatively. You aren't really sure what else you should say in a situation like this. Meeting a Lion Dream Eater Spirit, or even a Dream Eater Spirit in general isn't exactly a common thing after all.

Slowly but surely the Lion walks up to you, causing your heart rate to increase as tension fills the air.

Then it rubs up to you with its head, much like a common house cat would.

When its head moves under your hand, you decide to take a risk and… pet it.

You don't know, but you think the general feeling of positive emotions radiating out from it alongside the purring is a good sign.

You know, this is pretty-

Oh my! You've gotta get to class!

"Bye kitty!" You say as you immediately begin to run, "I'll hopefully be back to see you again later!"

The Spirit just lets out a meow, like a smaller cat, and lays down on the ground.

XXXXX

Thankfully, you manage to make it to Master Yen Sid's room in time. The fact that you're tired due to sprinting it does end up raising an eyebrow on your master's face, but he seems not to mind. Mickey is also present, though he seems to have been also awfully close to being late, having arrived only a few moments before you.

Well, seems like you aren't the only one who was distracted before class today.

What is Master Yen Sid's lesson for today?
[x] You and Mickey have separate lessons. Yours today is to help you master your transformation.
[x] A lesson involving the magic behind the animated brooms.
[x] Some physical training. You are rather squishy…
[x] A lesson about the methods to cross from one world to another.

We need to learn how to do this sooner or later.

Funnily enough, we can do it on our own later actually. Song of Teleport can be OP. Just need to upgrade it to that point. (At least I'm fairly sure inter-planetary was on the table for it).
Yep, but it's definitely going to take a lot of work.

That said it also makes you extremely dangerous on a plotting/strategic level since other people can't trace you while using it and it's much faster than taking a gummy/lane between.

"Who needs a Corridor of Darkness? This is way better. Safer, too!"

- Scena, maybe
