Oh fuck. Sand-Wolves just are a discount Grimm made of sand instead of shadowy goo. Nur-dammit! But yeah, Rul and Rutra were only defeated cause they rolled pretty badly against them. In game, they weren't expecting a recently made species to be so viciously aggressive.

They are infertile. Even if they are ageless apex predator, they are unable to mate and create young Sand-Wolves. So extinction for them is pretty much inevitable.
