Can we contest things?
Because I think giving our wife higher martial would be better given we're getting a kid soon.
 
There has been no mention that torroar is allowing contesting.

The bright side is that if trade fails we can always go to the school itself.

If the Trade does work we get ourselves both a persoanl teacher and another teacher for the school.
 
We currently have a dwarf engineer/slayer. A Trade is for a blacksmith. These are different things. An engineer isn't going to teach us to be a better blacksmith.

That option was already explicitly going to damage our reputation, and you couldn't be assed to mitigate it?

We want them out to track down chaos cultists since the plague is not normal.

That and the only other option we had for those guys (Emperor Says So) would lower their opinion greatly even if it succeeded.

Let them have their fun/clear out cultists and then inform them that the Emperor wants them to stop/cut back on the random burning of mages.

What even is Contesting, and why? I mean, people voted, as we know for a fact, for A Trade over the Natasha martial decision, so how would contesting even work? Since you had a chance to contest it before: also known as voting in the Survey.

Why? Untrained Wizards are bad news, we have a possible Nurgle problem rising next door, and more the point, said radicals can be dealt with afterwards.
 
Also if we give a little freedom to the Witch Hunter's we might get better relations with them and next turn after they take a year to clear out cultist they might become comfortable enough to relax their stance on the wizards so the success chances might improve.

It's when multiple plans are being voted for, so that the highest-voted options don't all go along with one another.
Basically, Plan A has B, C and D that all need to go through - while Plan E has F, G and H that all need to go through.

In this situation, getting B, G and D would mean that both plans are screwed.

And the memorial action should hopefully at least negate any lost opinion we'll get from their hunt.

Since there are so many Witch Hunter's in the province I would think that purges happen at once every few years so we shouldn't get any negative affect from the peasants they may actually be happy since the Witch Hunter's will also be taking down normal crime at a large rate. Also we have lots of support from both the nobles and peasants so they shouldn't have a problem wit out decision.
