Actually, come to think of it...

Do those donation rolls get Piety bonuses? Because if so, then each roll should have a 7 added to it.

"Well… I cannot tell you much then, for I revere Verena the Judge. But I am sure I can help you understand some of her portents. Our cult believes that Verena needs no oracles or preachers to convey her will," she chuckles, then gestures towards Sigmar's hammer, in a silent mockery of the Church of Heldenhammer, "That is something all varieties of our cult agree upon. Even I, a priestess of Verena, hold this position not because I claim special knowledge of our goddess, but because I have chosen to sacrifice my life in her service. Let no one stand between you and Verena the Wise, that is the greatest advice I can give you."

I guess one of the perks of being on the outer edges of the Empire is that nobody's got the time or inclination to cause an incident over one cult taking a jab at another.

And one more, before I finish Helena.

"Yes. I see that. Hmm… certainly an interesting case, it turned out to be as I thought," she turns to you and says, "This is definitely my mistress's doing. This owl is some sort of guardian and protector, meant to ward off trouble from you. Think about it, when did it appear above your home?"

"Just before some nobles tried to attack me. And then I was sent on an expedition to Karak Ungor."

"Exactly. You haven't been here for months. And who knows, maybe if this owl hadn't been here, you wouldn't have had a place to return to. So… it certainly wouldn't hurt to take care of it."

"Wait, are you sure I have enemies like that? Do we really have that risk?"

"Am I sure? No, not at all. Even the gods don't have perfect knowledge. But I believe that Verena the Wise considered the threat real enough to turn her attention to your home. Perhaps she was wrong. No one knows all the possibilities of the future except Deceiver. But the words of his servants can never be trusted."

Yeah while Karl has been an absolutely invaluable figure in keeping us alive in all things that want to kill us but he's just one man so some more help is good to have maybe more like minded ulricans.

And here something moar:

"Oh, this is a nasty incident indeed. There have been some wolf-like creatures in the forest that attack livestock, but so far have not attacked the villagers. The people are scared and want to form a militia to destroy the creatures. But there is something that worries me about this. Sometimes Ulric bestows lycanthropy on those he has great plans for. I am going to go there in the next few days and try to find the culprits myself."

Verena help us, we have enough problems with public perception already, imagine what would happen if it was discovered that we were consorting with lycanthropes.
I recall that werewolves were feared and hunted down as well. Being lumped with the Beastmen.
I'm sure Leon would be most interested in recovering the bodies of the fallen for anatomical study.

It's simple, really: these creatures are either people blessed by Ulric to be werewolves, natural born Ulricskins, Amber wizards misbehaving, or the most peaceful skinwolves of Chaos we have ever heard of.

Lads and gentlemens, I finished turn writing. There is one day untilvvoting is finished and results is not decided yet. So if you want to change something, please, vote.

Looks like Greatness In Gunpowder is winning, with Military Scientist behind by one vote.

I'm happy with either though I do slightly prefer Military Scientist since it has some wider applicability.

Isolde dark secrets:

"Have you ever wondered how much hidden power the cult of Shailia has? Most of the palace servants are always ready to share with us the dirty secrets of their lords, believing that we are capable of doing something about it. Any feudal lord will be ready to fulfill our demand when his wife is pregnant, and the birth promises to be difficult. At the same time, the cult of Shailia is highly centralized, so it is impossible to negotiate with another branch of the cult, so if I can control all the activities of my cult in the province."
