    You put your hands behind your head. "So, how does training sound?"

    She blinks. "Hm?"

    "We may have worked together but we didn't really play off of each others' strengths as well as we could have." You say. "We should learn to do that."

    "We probably should, yeah." She says. "...Hell, you did a nice job, even though you burnt your fingers and your legs."

    "Wish that didn't happen. I got unlucky." You say. "...Got any ideas for joint techniques?"

    "Like I dunno. Obviously, we could throw a swarm of swords."

    "I get the distinct feeling that would probably eat corruption." You say. "Unless I find a way to make it simpler."

    "You should do that."

    "Oh!" You snap your fingers. "I know! I could ride a giant polearm of yours! That would be fun!"

    "Heh." She smirks. "Really? I can't make something that big! It'd be too much! Hell, I'd use it as a desperation move, sure, but that's fucking crazy!" She punches your shoulder lightly.

    "So? It'd be cool! It's like an anime move of some sort." You grin.

    Assuming we can actually do that. I mean, I'm sure it's possible, but it's also nothing like anything we've tried before- it might take a little figuring out.

    "So, anyways, when and where should we meet?" You ask.

    "Well, maybe we can go over to the junk yard." She says. "Oh! There's also a forest nearby. Has an abandoned amusement park."

    "Ah." You grin. "Sounds like an idea. When should I meet you?"

    "Maybe after school." She says. "...And I'mma get a phone tomorrow. It's just easier that way."

    "A disposable phone?" You say.

    "Either that or a long term one." She says. "Howzat sound to you?"

    "It sounds fantastic!" You say. "Hey, lemme give you my number, alright?" You look around for a pen, only to realize that you can't quite do that. "...Oh, dammit!"

    "I think I'm a bad influence." She snickers. "Well, I'll just try remembering it. I'll write it down at the hotel. What's your number?" She asks.

    "099-991-4833." You say. "Just call me once and leave me a message." You grin.

    "Well, alrighty, then." She smirks, before she repeats it.

    "Weren't planning on getting a girl's phone number so soon, were you?" You snicker.

    She rolls her eyes. "You can stop with the gay jokes."

    "Sorry. Couldn't resist." You say as she breaks off. You can see the hotel right there in the distance. "Well, I'll see you later, Kyouko!" You wave.

    "See yah, Sayaka." She grins. "Can't wait to kick some more ass with you!"

    "Same to you!" Eventually, you reach home, and with a sigh, you walk in. Your mom's watching a movie, idly laying on the couch.

    "Hey, welcome back." She says. "Took a while to get back. Did you hang out or something?"

    [] Go upstairs.

    [] Talk to your mom.

    [] Go to sleep.

    • [x] Uh, Mom. Turn on the news. Like, right now.

    "Mom." You murmur. "You might wanna turn on the news. Like, right now."

    "Hm?" She sniffs the air. "Wait. That smell." She looks at you, then she gasps. "Jesus, what the hell happened?! You smell like petrol!"

    "Yeah. There was an explosion on the way to Kyouko's. We ran over to look at it."

    "There was? Wait, you what?!" She shouts. "What were you thinking?!" She shouts, then her eyes widen. "Wait...oh no." She changes channels. "Oh nononononono-!" She switches over to see the plant that she worked at reduced to a burning crater. Her eyes widen. Her breath stops. She pauses.

    "...Mom?"

    She's silent.

    "...Mom are you okay?"

    She's starting to shake. "...Sayaka." She says. "...I'm going to ask you to leave." She says, quietly.

    [] Try getting her to calm down.

    [] Just walk away.

    [] Go to sleep.

    And the crazy thing is I can't find where I heard it. If someone could possibly locate it, I'll know I'm not crazy, thank you.
