Hmm...I think it'd be best to work on sparring/dodge practice for the newbies for the next few training sessions. They've all more or less hit the point where their powers can carry them through most fights, now they need to build up the foundation of actual skill so they can stop being magic sinks in combat.

Yoko still needs a reliable ranged option. We should put a slot to teaching her a Wave Rend equivalent.

She can attach her grapple to Sayaka and use us as a flail.

More seriously, while her staff isn't the best weapon, it should be passable once she gets good at it, and for soft targets the grapple may be able to tear bits off.

Also, is it me, or is Sukuyo starting to become attracted to Akane, with her blushing and all that?

There will be so many overlapping love triangles by the end that the diagram of SQ character relationships will look like abstract art.

Sukuyo seems easily embarrassed. She does a lot of blushing whenever anyone is messing with her, and sometimes in other contexts too. It's possible she's just blushing because she sees Sayaka and Kyoko holding hands.

Now, Tomo on the other hand. Akane has all of Tomo's les yay.

"B-but..." She looks at the ground.

You take your hand off of her head. "You just need more training. Don't worry! We're not just gonna leave you hanging."

"T...thank you, Sayaka." She smiles.

"You're welcome."

"Forgot to ask about this earlier, but how'd your training with Akane go?"

"Uh..." Tomo kicks around some dirt on the ground. "It was nice."

"...Is that it?"

"We sparred, but she tried keeping her hits soft while fighting me...she still destroyed a car during it, though." She seems distracted...by Akane.

"You alright?" You ask.

"No." Tomo shakes her head. "I'm fine."

"But...but you just said..." You groan a little. "Fuck, alright."

You all just idly talk on your way to the ice cream parlor, and when you're there, you already see Madoka and Homura eating a bowl of ice cream together. Homura opens her mouth in preparation of a piece, only for Madoka to suddenly put it back in the bowl, and give Homura a brief peck on the lips.

The other girl yelps a little in surprise, before Madoka gently puts the spoon in her mouth.

"Holy shit, you two are sappy." Kyouko shouts loudly. Madoka squeaks a little, while Homura just frowns.

Well, that's a pretty obvious crush that Tomo's got there on Akane. Too bad Akane's straight. Might want to nip that one in the bud before the despair bomb of getting dumped hits Sayaka levels.

Just as you say that, Homura gives Madoka a tight, protective hug, as though to say "Mine". Sukuyo just stares at the both of them, before she sighs and sits down.

"So...uh..." You scratch your cheek. "...Wanna talk?"

"What about?" Kyouko asks.

"Stuff." You say. "Lots of stuff. Mostly meaningless and silly stuff."

"Well, we could try eating something, but there's nothing around and..." She frowns. "I'd probably just fuck it up again."

"Personally, I think it's cute when you fuck up."

"Shaddup." Kyouko pouts, but she can't hide the smirk on her face.

Okay, next time we train we get Kyouko to figure out that goddamn laser spear. Suddenly the scissors have a point beyond this guy's gimmick.

And we shall ourselves master the whirlwind slash. It would be a great tool for crowd control.

I think we should keep this meeting light, but with a dash of Meguca talk...then either set up a meeting for Walmart Night reveal, either later today or early tomorrow or just drop the bomb here, though I doubt the votes will swing in that direction.

We really haven't interacted with Sukuyo outside of the Meguca frame of reference and it'd be nice to meet the girl behind the powers, costume, and guns. Besides, we kinda need to introduce her to the OTHER gun user, Homu. With 'Doka here that should limit the "You're probably gonna die/You made a horrible mistake" that Homu normally directs at new contractees. Maybe brainstorm training ideas or something, possible Homu/Sukuyo gun synergy, stuff like that.

Aside from that, keep it light in tone to distract Tomo, Yoko and Akane from the HORRIBLE TRAUMA that just occured. Totes need to tease Akane about setting up a date for her.
