"You aren't useless." You say. "I know you might have a hard time believing this...but you're not useless." You smile. "...Akane said the same thing and you know what? It's not true for her and it's not true for you."
She stares at you before you take a step over to Sukuyo.

"Thanks for the call."
"Y-you're welc-come." She says.

"Akane?" You turn. "They'll still need you...now more than ever." You adjust your cape.
"I know." Akane shakes her head. "It...I know."

"Don't blame yourselves." You say as both you and Kyouko walk towards the barrier. "You couldn't have known this was a tough witch. We'll talk a bit more after we're done here, alright?" You say.
"Okay." Akane mutters.
[x]Go into the barrier.
You take a step into the barrier, and just as you do, you can see the crayon drawings shaking. They look as though they've been recently burnt, and you can see tiny familiars on the ground, crying over the bodies of burnt stick figures.
You look at the sun, which is what Sukuyo mentioned before, isn't it?

"Got it." She links a long chain from the back of your sword around your hand.

You pull your sword back, before shove it forwards.

Your wave rend flies into the sky, before it shreds a hole in where the sun should be. There's a second's pause when you see bits of paper fluttering down to the ground...followed by a loud. shrill girl's scream.
Suddenly, the witch doesn't even bother with waiting. It immediately bursts through the hole in an enormous burst of flame. The jaw and teeth are split wide open, and as it moves you can see the bottom half of it drop off.
That must have been where you hit it.

So, had a thought: could we channel our constant Wave Rend ability through our armour instead of our sword? To make it so that anything that hits our armour basically disintegrates, so we have an extra layer of defense? I know it'd be really pricey as a constant ability (too pricey to be worth it in all likelihood), but if we could learn to trigger it only at the area struck when we take it a hit I think it might be viable.
