While we definitely didn't want to hurt her, we've had this discussion before. Mikimom doesn't like being coddled by her daughter. It makes her feel helpless. Showing some vulnerability might let her feel a bit more like a parent.

Actually, I rethought it and don't think these two write-ins work very well on the heels of "I'm not going to give up!" Changing back...

And again to [x]Mura because my brain's made of mush and it's a decent write-in.

"I-I was afraid." You say. "I am afraid." You clench your teeth. "Y-you were trying so hard. I knew what this would do to you and..." Kyouko holds your hand. "A-and I hated it. I hated it and I put it off because I wanted more time..."

Your mom puts a hand to her mouth, as Akane quietly puts her plate into the dishwasher. Your mom's starting to cry again, and you have to blink some tears out.

"I-I can't wait anymore. It would have been i-irresponsible. It w-would have put you in more danger." You swallow. "I'm sorry, mom." You say. The tears are coming. "I-I'm so sorry."

You're crying in front of your mom...and she herself doesn't seem to know what to do. She sits in her chair quietly. "...I..." She shakes her head. "...Sayaka, I don't know...it..." She can't find words. She looks heartbroken and she can't figure out what to say. "...Sayaka." She starts, and you can see tears falling her eyes. "Oh my god, Sayaka." She lets out a choked sob, and you immediately pull her into a hug.

"I'm sorry." You say. "I'm sorry!"

Your mom chokes again. "W-why you?!" She says. "Why d-do you have to die?!" She's crying. "I-Y-y-!"

Kyouko's grip on you tightens. She's hugging you around your waist.
