SayakaQuest Thread 10: Glory To The Death

[x] "You lead"
-[x] Attack the doll.
--[X] Go after the doll as a group. Aim for the head
[X] Coordinate with the group to land the hit.
-[x] Be prepared to dodge on case it pulls out anything dangerous.

That gear that was Walpurgisnacht's central component. The very last thing that remained after Madokami went to town on ol' Wallace, that had to be finally destroyed to end the witch. Where the hell did it go?
It vanished into the fucking aether.

No actually it's keeping the flying golden city up. In the center. That the doll came out of. Yeah just try to avoid the fucking doll.

Humble suggested plan of Action: Akane (or Koko, whoever has the best DPS) start punching stuff until we get a reaction out of Walpurgis, then keep punching whatever caught Walpurgis attention until it breaks, we find something else for Akane to punch, and everyone else keep Walpurgis off of Akane.

Stupid question but maybe we could just destroy it completely somehow?

Like we take off the head, bisect it again, or whatever, then while it's trying to reform burn all the parts using Akane or something like that?

[]You lead
-[]Atrack the doll

I think the head on a target that fast is going to be pretty hard to hit. Best to blunt that modifier first.

It's a doll being fielded by the Witch when it doesn't have to. This is the final fight, where, since Moid actually knows how to fucking design things, everything matters and serves a purpose.

I don't see a reason at this point to not just go all out on it, and see what happens.

Well, clearly (by Moid's hint), the central gear is important somehow. The issue is that was an OOC hint. We need some way to get Sayaka IC to realize the central gear isn't on the doll, why that is significant, and find where it is.

Alright, here's a plan. We need to hit the Gear, but the Doll is guarding it. We need one team to distract the doll. The other will hit the Gear.

Thing is, I haven't been paying enough attention to figure out how to split the party. That's up to you guys. Although I will suggest putting Homura on the distraction team, she doesn't need firepower to do that.

I'm not sure why anyone thinks that we should be trying to avoid the Doll, as if that'd do anything at this point. >_< It's very clear that we have to confront it, and uh... no really why would we do that?

Well, obviously we can't just ignore it or solely dodge it. It's WAY too freaking strong and fast to ignore, whether it is ultimately a diversion or not.

At the very least, we need to weaken it (read, reduce its bonuses) to the point where we can start doing whatever it is we really need to do to win (assuming it is not just taking out the doll, which seems likely)

Since we can keep aggro'ing the doll (not face-tanking it, mind) without being cut into bite-sized giblets, or at least recover in seconds if we do, maybe get the Tokyo girls hunt for a weak spot then? Kagura's power feels like it can hurt fierce if they find something that looks important.

Can we try and hit something important on the doll itself? We've been just generally attacking the doll already with limited success. o
It doesn't really need the head. It's a doll remember? The brain isn't there, because all a puppet needs are the strings in its limbs to move. It doesn't need eyes to see, because the city is its body. The head reeks of 'OBVIOUS WEAK SPOT, ATTACK HERE'.

Considering it got really pissed of when we dismembered an arm it easily replaced, I really doubt human anatomy applies here.

...Actually, that's a possible thing, the doll (read: PUPPET) being controlled by strings, hence it got pissed off since we destroyed the string controlling the detached arm.
