It's not the resource thing, it's whether she can afford to break away from whoever she's dealing with. And that we might be able to heal our eyes pretty quick, so we might be able to do that on the move.
It's also the exact same opening actions that led to Kyoko getting killed a couple updates ago. This is Mami and Haruko we're dealing with, so I say we don't hold back.

I really hate metagaming. Fuck timestop.
IC we could justify it as being fearful of leaving Kyoko fighting Mami (I don't think we know Haruko joined in). If you hate that plan, I'd like to see an IC plan that isn't "throw ourselves at Mami and Haruko and hope the dice gods don't smite us again" (not being sarcastic. If you have a better plan, let's hear it, cus otherwise this bandwagon is gonna be unstoppable).

Edit: that said, does anyone think we should put a "if timestop is unavailable, then ___" bit in there? 'Cus if it's unavailable we're just gonna end up throwing ourselves at them and hoping for the best.

To be fair, that was an extremely lucky shot that landed that. And I'd say the problem started around when we decided to full retreat with Kyouko in tow. I wouldn't say that not calling in a timestop before we had any reason to know that wouldn't be excessive was the problem. We can call that in when we actually see the situation. Or throw up some defenses around her.

Not really opposed to the current plan, just saying I don't see this as the point when it went wrong last time.

I don't know if Moid has ever said anything about it, but I don't think he'll be too charitable with essentially using one of our lives for a re-roll. On top of that, we both had an arm off against two of the toughest familiars of the bunch. It was a shitty situation to begin with.
 
For an IC justification, our forces are scattered, we're heavily injured and we have no idea what is going on. Using a time stop or two to heal ourselves and coordinate this mess should vastly improve our chances, and I think Saya would gladly pay the cost.
 
I was thinking the problem was after we got to the fight. Basically grabbed Kyouko and ran full on in the opposite direction. I'm thinking using some more of our defensive options would be a better plan this time around. Since we're going to need more than our armor to keep from getting shot, apparently.

Running to Kyoko the second we were aware was our first action, and she got shot in the meantime. Defensive options wouldn't help her, so we'd be back to "throw yourself at the boss familiars while you've got an arm off and hope for the best"

I was thinking of buying time to heal with the defense. A blade block or a shield to keep from getting immediately sniped while fixing limbs. And at some point checking just how bad everyone else is going.

W-we weren't the ones who got sniped. Kyoko got shot through us while we tried to save her. the shots went through our armor, so we'd need something like a proper greatshield to tank the shots, and that would slow us down enough that Kyoko would just die and then we end up with sadfish again.

We were already on the run with her when we got shot. Seems like they would have noticed their target not being where they were a moment ago and adjusted accordingly. And I'm thinking of using the blade block to buy time to heal/set up an defence. It would only need to last long enough for us to get Kyouko mobile again. But yeah, it would depend on how effective the blade block would be against a shot and how long fixing legs to a workable state would take.

I despise metagaming and won't vote for it on principle. And in hindsight I think the Kyouko rescue was mishandled. Dice or no dice. Should've wave rend the familiars first. Even if it didn't work, it would've done better to get the familiars off Kyouko's back while we got her relatively out of harms way.
