SayakaQuest Thread 10: Glory To The Death

OK, if we go for after beating Sora, we're still left with a missing arm and a heavily injured Kyouko. We can pull in a Homu-Bail.

Mami and Wind girl are at +90 for their offense. We are in a very bad position vs them, even if we don't roll a 1.

If we go back to the appearance of the familiars, we can re-fight Sora, but we may not get the free light saber, which makes that fight a bit more difficult.

I'm thinking a Homu-Bail is probably the best option for us, post-Sora, but am willing to entertain other arguments.

Hmm... Where's Homura?

I would say to have Homura grab Kyoko in timestop, then heal her there, then fight alongside her against Mami/Haruko.

Plus a line to check on Wally.

Lesson learned.

Last time I forsake my own idea for a bandwagon.

Yep. Seems caution rather than resource management was the better idea. Oh "but I might need it later": killer of roleplayers.

...

I have a feeling that even with three two more tries we aren't going to make it.

[X] The appearance of the familiars.

Actually, we do have the third option: Go back to the start of the fight. We can skip the hoops of splitting the party up, and hopping through the skyscraper-storm, and just Homu-Hop the entire group onto Wally directly. That leaves Homura with lots more seeds, and all 9 ready to face the familiars, so no one gets double-teamed.

Somebody cleanse Diomedon, he's grief spiraling. It's just our first death. Honestly I would have been disappointed if Wally hadn't put us down at least once.

Also, fuck you troll familiars for not killing us before we witched out. Couldn't even do us the courtesy of finishing us off?

This is worse than the 3rd timeline. I'm sure that Koko had the same shocked look on her face when she bought it, too.

But we've already eaten a death, so we're risking going through needing to inflict all that damage again to reach stage 2- on the whole, we're better off continuing from our 0-death, fairly good odds situation pre natural 1.

That was the end of the play. :(

Half that and half I don't want to re-do that entire part of the fight. At most I'd be cool with going back to the familiars and pulling a time stop attack right off the bat.

Actually, why we didn't start with timestop crippling them all? What was stoping us to do so?

We have 20 seeds left, and the other has some more, so making donations to Hom's in order to clear them out of the way is legit.

... we like taking risks for the sake of coolness, right?

I think I'd had a tentative idea in that direction, though with restrictions because we didn't want to hit familiars that could follow us into timestop. Don't remember why that got dropped.

I guess it's because of the antimagic familiar, and the No-sell shadowrunning.

Hmm... do we managed to kill it? Even if not, worth the risk.

Ok, they appeared, we tried for an alpha strike (which kinda tripped over itself), and then the timestop-gank was tentative for the vote after that but never went anywhere. If we go back to their first appearance, we just have to get over the initial shock of seeing them, and then hit them from timestop (though there are other considerations, such as whether all the familiars will be in contact with each other on that initial appearance).

Pretty much I-
Wait.
Timestop gank off the bat wouldn't have worked. We were standing on Wally, which they were also standing on. They wouldn't have been affected.

Edit: We could decide to jump off as a group, and then timestop gank, but that does put us at their mercy until we're clear.

... How are we gonna justify that IC, though?

It's justifiable IC, but our best bet is to go from dead Sora as a starting point since that's better odds than trying to replicate it from scratch.
