Akane tenses up at the name, before she takes a deep breath. "...How'd it go?"

Before you say anything, your mom interrupts. "Fucking awful." She sits down next to Akane. "Absolutely fucking awful."

She looks at the floor. "...I'm sorry."

"Sorry for what?" You ask. "You couldn't have stopped her parents from being...uh...them."

"But I could have been there for her." She murmurs.

"You were comforting the other Tokyo girls, right?" You say.

"I was but...I could've done something."

"...I could've asked you to come." You say, quietly.

Impressive! You are progressing so quickly that you have already finished your first right of passage: agreeing with Ugolino. I'd do that less myself, but he has the most obnoxious habit of being right. Anyway, welcome to SQ, enjoy our scenic hurricane-sized Sword of Damocles.

Does that have to do with mass amounts of clusterfucks, 'cause from what I've read, uh... *cough* Yea...

Well, it was less agreeing with Ugolino and more "Oh, everyone so far voted for this" but yeah, now I feel like it'd be a good idea, even if I wanna kill who ever would choose what looked to be a..."left-field" idea.

Akane nods weakly.

She turns. "Yeah?" She sounds exhausted.

She smiles weakly. "Love you, too."

You scoot a little closer to Kyouko, and you wrap your arms around her midsection. She leans back on you.
