Oh, hey. Look at that. I'm finally caught up to y'all. I greatly enjoyed reading through everything, though I mostly read the story posts and only just read the most recent flailing wildly at tomoparent problem voting and discussion. I will now, too, flail vote, and add my despair to the pile, for the sake of Sayaka's hope.

I hope this was a one off thing because I could see how people could use this to try to fuck over the quest.

I trust Moid to not toss us into a no-win situation. It's not his style. Make things harder, sure. Impossible, no. And really, how is making things harder for Sayaka NOT the point of this quest? :p

Your sword disappears in a wisp of blue smoke. "You can stop panicking now." You say. "...You ignored me the first time."

Tomo moves closer to her dad. "Don't." She says.

"And as I said, this is important. And if things continue like this, you will kill her."

They both look at her, then at you. "...Explain." The dad says, while Tomo's mom just stares. She doesn't believe you.

[X] Your daughter got conned into a shit deal. If you want to know the fine details, I can explain further, but basically, her soul is linked with her emotional state. It gets bad enough for long enough? She's going to die.

Something along these lines...

In exchange for a wish, we are granted magical powers and forced to fight monsters, called witches, to gather grief seeds to survive. Her soul gem, the source of her power, grows blacker every time she uses her powers, or even just when she gets sad. If her soul gem goes black, she's as good as dead."

As it builds up it starts to affect your emotions, giving you extreme mood swings and making you irrational, that sort of thing, and generally making it easier to build up more grief fast. And if it goes completely black..."

Take EVERYTHING he says with a few mountains of salt."
