SayakaQuest Thread 10: Glory To The Death

Seriously? Because of one idiot?
Well, that, and I wasn't quite feeling the despair. It felt like weepy Kyouko, and really, it just kind of confirmed what I was thinking.

So I changed it to fit her a bit more. Yes, Kyouko's been weepy before...but I don't think there's been enough angry Kyouko. ...So really, it was mostly an excuse to make things worse~

Angry Kyouko means lots of food. Weirdly enough, I can't find a .gif of Kyouko angrily eating away her problems.

[X] Mental note: Get snacks.

[] "You're right, Kyoko. I do trust you."
[] Give her your soul gem and grief seeds.
[] "Those are yours now. You can do whatever you want with them."

I figure that now's a good time to prove to Kyoko that she's wrong about herself.

Yes, seriously. What, do you think that Kyoko is going to feel better about herself after another speech? Let's try a trust exercise instead.

Torg, while a trust exercise might be a good idea in the future, fact of the matter is at this moment it comes off as fairly hostile and putting Kyouko on the spot. Maybe it's just me, but looking at your write in it seems like Sayaka is saying "If you love me, you'll trust me as much as I'm trusting you to hold all these." That's kind of passive aggressive, and I don't think Kyouko would really appreciate it. In fact, it might just hurt her more and make her just shut in on herself. This is not conducive for a relationship of any kind, least of all a romantic one.

There is no magic bullet for this. Right now Sayaka and Kyouko need to talk with each other, and then tomorrow perhaps work on some things to do together to help get their feet on solid ground again. These two have issues that will take years to handle fully. We're not going to make them go away in one or even one hundred actions. We just need to make sure they're both stable enough to handle the next week.

I'm really not sure what to say here. Kyouko's clearly raging at herself more than anyone else because let's face it, this familiar farming cut a little too close to her. Not to mention they actually succeeded at killing someone intentionally whereas Kyouko only 'didn't save people'.

Any yet, these girls didn't get punished for their actions. They got off scott free, in Kyouko's mind, because of the mitigating mind fuck circumstance of Grey. That we're, hopefully, drafting them 'for the greater good' is, I think in Kyouko's mind, irrelevent. She WANTED them to get punished, if only to seperate herself from them. Clearly these girls will be dealing with the guilt of this, what they did to their friend, what their friend did to them and their actions as a group, for the rest of their lives, but Kyouko's not in any mood to care about that right now.

I mean maybe we could talk about how Sayaka herself doesn't forgive them for killing that man, but damn it, they're not irredemable so she's giving them a shot at redemption. Maybe talk about how Sayaka just didn't want add to her body count. Perhaps Sayaka saying that she forgives Kyouko for what she's done or just thankful that she never stooped this low would work. Then there's always the whole "Blame the System because fuck it" but I don't think that's the right track to go on at this point.

...Maybe we could even talk about how, pragmatically, we need their combat power for Walpurgis and if they die, well, at least it won't be by our hands(lol, IC, what's that. :p).

...I was going for proving that trusting Kyoko isn't a mistake, but clearly that didn't come across.
