"...I talked to Akane before coming here." You say. "She's...uh...she's worried about you and upset at herself for not noticing your feelings."

Tomo clenches up.

"I wish there were some magic words to say to make it all better but..." You take a breath. "...there really aren't. One-sided crushes...well...they suck." You frown. "...And it hurts. It hurts a lot. And it'll keep hurting for a while but trust me. It'll get better. I know you won't believe me right now...but it was better for this to come out now than for you to let it fester."

Tomo shakes her head. "Y-you're right." She says. "Y-you're right. I-I don't believe you." She lets out another shuddering sob. "I don't believe you!"

You nod. "It might...it might not be Akane, but I know you'll find someone some day...the person you want to share your feelings with." Kyouko holds your hand a little tighter, and as soon as she does, Tomo just hides her face. "...Just...don't forget about the people who care about you the most." As soon as you say that, Yoko gives Tomo a hug. "They'll comfort you and give you strength. They want you to be happy."

"I-I want to die." Tomo says, quietly. "I'm an idiot and I just did that and she might...I'm an idiot." Sheshakes her head. "I'm so stupid I'm so stupid."

[X] *put an arm around her* You don't want to die. Not really. I've been there- not for the same reasons, but I know the feeling. As much as it hurts right now, as much as you feel like your heart's been ripped from your chest and stamped upon, it passes. And until it does, we're here for you.
-[X] And Akane might what? She definitely doesn't hate you, and she won't think less of you for liking her or anything. Even if she doesn't return your feelings, she can still be your friend. Still watch out for you, spend time with you. And I guarantee you that she doesn't want you suffering over this, let alone dying.
-[X] You're not stupid, Tomo, and nobody here wants you dead. I know you won't just magically get better, but... for as long as you need someone to support you, your friends are here for you. Yoko, me, all of us. *full hug*

First hurried draft of a vote. Somebody who isn't brain-frazzled by their own quests please hack it up and turn it into something good, or just write a better one from scratch.
 
The odds of Tomo actually witching out in front of us is zero. Sayaka freaking clensed Emiko AFTER the school incident. There's no way she'd let Tomo witch. It's just a question of how many seeds it'll take and for how long Tomo's gem will keep auto filling at this point.

"It isn't a risk right now, but you don't feel safe with it" means it isn't a risk right now, but it's worrying if it continues for a while. Behavior is not a good measure of her grief level considering the situation. Tomo is stupid, she just kissed a girl that she was friends with and looked up to and that girl's straight and oh god what if she never wants to talk to Tomo again stupid stupid stupid etc.

Can we just Hug?

Let her talk. Let her rant about everything that's wrong, so we can understand her mentality better. Maybe she'll mention something important about herself, her past...We're right there. We're not going to leave her alone. She needs to work this out. That's how humans operate. She needs to express herself. We can't deny her that.

We can only remind her that people care.

She's currently beating herself up/convinced she's an idiot/starting a grief-spiral. We really need to snap her out of it, so she's at least not getting worse- that sort of thing is very self-reinforcing.
 
[x] For me it was a boy. I don't think he ever really noticed me, and right now he's dating one of my best friends.
