This guy seems pretty easy to annoy, and considering that he wasn't afraid to shout at us during the film, I think anything that could possibly be taken the wrong way will be taken the wrong way, and that could cause an argument which isn't a good part of a date.

Nothing to apologize about from Sayaka's POV, not worth going out of our way to break character over, a glare followed by [x]Telepathy is a good compromise vote that avoids a worst-case scenario.
