As an aside note, how much corruption/day is there roughly if e dont use magic? Unlikely to count much in a week, but im trying to figure out how long you can theoretically last on how many grief seeds.
 
Are we going to have to worry about the other incubators following the newbies here? You know, so they can take their filled grief seeds?

Yonbey: If I were neurologically damaged enough to feel annoyance, I would be quite miffed with you.

You bring out a sword and you look at a nearby tree. With one smooth motion, you turn on Wave Rend and you slice through the trunk. The tree's top half slides neatly off the bottom, before it collapses to the ground.

You stare at your sword as it glows blue, then at the ruined tree, before you slice another one. This time, you time it properly. You destroy it immediately, before you stab another tree with the blade. It goes through the trunk cleanly; you can barely even feel the wood underneath before you take the sword out.

"Like a hot knife through butter." You murmur.

[Rending Blade Improved! Costs 1d5 corruption per slice]​

Kyouko does her own work on her own trees, while you take a step forwards. With a smooth motion, you decide to try boosting again.

You blast through several trees, followed by a crash through several abandoned booths. You tumble through them head-over-heels, before you crash face-first into another tree.

"SHIT!"

"Sayaka, are you okay?!" Kyouko looks over at you. "I heard you screaming 'shit'!"

"I'm okay, Kyouko!" You give her a shaky thumbs-up. "I'm perfectly okay-ish."

"Ish? That's not exactly a vote of confidence."

"Whatever. Close enough." You sigh. "I really need to work on that."

[One Hour Later]​

You keep boosting repeatedly, and this time, you've got it down! You start hovering in the air with repeated boosts, and when you look at your Soul Gem, it's not taking too much of a toll! You smile, somewhat proud of yourself...before you lose focus. You promptly hit the ground face-first.

"Ooooooooooow..."

"Okay, now you don't look okay." Kyouko walks over. "Can we go on a date now? Because you've been doing shit like that for the past hour."

You groan.

Sayaka, honey, there's only so many times in one day you can slam your face into the ground before you need to take a break. And by that, I mean rest. Not, you know, your bones. And I don't care if you can heal them up good as new. That's not the point.

Walpurgisnight is coming- clearly the answer is to practice facetanking.

More seriously, I think we can get a bit more of a stat bonus out of that option so it's worth taking it another time.

As expected, we got Rending Blade into a combat viable cost. We've got what amounts to a Lightsaber on command that costs half the cost of an actual Wave Rend. With this, Sayaka has a pure magic attack in both ranged and melee combat which can only help on Walmart Night. Against the lower tier of her enemies, MG's and Witches, Rending Blade just screams Overkill/Trump Card. Still, you can never have enough Trump Cards. 'I am not left handedx5' and all that.

The bonus to boosting attack, meanwhile, means we get +10/-5 rather than +10/-10. A minor, yet important bonus to be sure because anything that lengthens the time between hits is always a good thing to unlock.

I'm with Ugo on this one. There's no real reason not to go the extra mile here.

"I'm just fiiiiiiiiiine." You stumble a little. "I can do it again!" You prepare to boost, and you do...right into one of the roller coaster's supports. Kyouko cringes as you crash through a support beam, then another, then another, and the entire structure collapses. You crash into a treetop, hurdle over a dirty pool, and slam face-first into another carnival booth.

"That doesn't look fine!" Kyouko shouts. "Sayaka!" Her voice is distant.

You giggle deliriously. "I'm perfectl-!" You pause, to notice that, no, you're not okay. "Oh, would you look at that." You poke at the flagpole currently embedded in your chest. "I've been impaled."

It's a good thing that Kyouko can't see you right now. You quickly pull it out and heal your chest.

You both leave the amusement park, with Kyouko none the wiser. She looks at you. "So...movies?" She asks.

"Yeah, movies." You say back.

And so, you both start going over to the movie theater.
