Oath Sign: Breath of the Wild

You missed the corallary to that; shooting it with a regular arrow can break off a claw, scale, piece of horn, or piece of tooth.

So for that to not be game mechanics, it must also be stupidly fragile in very, very specific ways.
-shrug-

Regardless, trying to shoot one down as a tiny ground-bound person is basically impossible. They always fly, they move quickly, and they ignore people even if the people are shooting at them.

You'll give them a bunch of slivers aaand they're gone.
would a flint and steel mechanic where sparks fly when he snaps his fingers be okay?
Basically cosmetic, that's fine.
How do you feel about a slightly scary banshee cry thing that makes some monster's ears hurt?
Sure.
So really, Paper Mario has fought all kind of giant dragons
Point of order, Super Mario Galaxy had a dragon in it, and then a lava version of that dragon later.

That we're rolling to attack the dragon instead of rolling charisma checks to waifu obviously shows that SV has matured, of course

But why not just try making friends with the non-evil dragon that's not looking to kill people?

Point of order, Super Mario Galaxy had a dragon in it, and then a lava version of that dragon later.

Right...I think I remember that now that you mention it, but then it's been years since I last played Super Mario Galaxy.

Looking it up on Youtube, it looks like it was Super Mario Galaxy 2, which while I played, I didn't bother playing through it with Luigi as well, so that might have something to do with it too.

So yeah, Mario has fought dragons in general.

As well as Dinosaurs that technically aren't dragons but breath fire like Dragons are know to do.

You'll give them a bunch of slivers aaand they're gone.

That they can so easily ignore such slivers is the true testament to their power and ability to ignore the little people.

I'm now wondering what tier of magical stuff is required to break through the magic-rejecting universe of your body... probably higher level than we'll ever encounter bar the complete Triforce tbh

(also I'm wondering of scientifically studied sources of power count as magic)
Missed this, I orginally had in mind complete magical immunity like the Imagine Breaker, as there are so many ways around it, but the complete Triforce or a Goddess should probably be able to affect a lowly automata. :V Still completely unsure of the origin--Is it the metal he's made of? The core inside him? Some random Deus Ex Machina/MacGuffin device?

There is that saying, sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic, but I mean.. Well, basically, I don't know ;-;
Basically cosmetic, that's fine. Sure.
Thanks, it'll be described as properly clockworky, don't worry!

Oh God, I'm getting nervous--A one out of nine chance isn't great, but.. Uh.. Never.. N-Never tell me the odds..? Good luck everyone.. :V

Wizard_Marshall - Imperial Inquisitor
Hey @Cyreni. Here's my submission.

Character Name: Alexander Anderson
Father Anderson

Paladin Anderson

Alexander belongs to the Iscariot branch of the Vatican. This organization is the black ops of the Catholic Church. Their agents deal with supernatural monsters that can overtake villages in a single night and render local agencies like the police and military helpless. Alexander Anderson is one of Iscariot's most efficient hunters.

Despite being arguably one of the good guys, Alexander has some self-restraint issues that make him come across like a serial killer more than a Templar Knight. For example, he has no problem being kind and gentle with the children of his orphanage, but when he faces down enemies of humanity like vampires, he becomes a vicious berserker with a single-minded focus of eliminating his enemies.

Anti-Hero
Despite his slasher smile and gruesome battle methods, Alexander is a man of God and everything he does is to protect the innocent. He just gets a little too excited with his wet work.

Father to His Men
Alexander shares a strong bond with his Iscariot followers, some of whom were children raised in his orphanage. He views them as his children, and they return his devotion to the point of disobeying their superior's orders and sacrificing themselves to create a path to slay the enemy for Alexander. In Hyrule, this would illustrate as a fondness for human children and any friendly relations he may foster over time.

Knife Nut
Alexander's main weapon of choice are blessed bayonets of which he seems to carry and endless amount from within his long coat.

Real Men Love Jesus
Although he may sometimes seem like a good little soldier, Alexander only answers to one individual, God. He studies the Good Book, does what it says and preaches the Word. He is a devout believer who considers himself a simple instrument of the Lord's will.

Thou Shall Not Kill an Innocent
While Anderson preaches to his orphans that it's okay to use violence against heathens, when his boss orders the slaughter of innocent survivors in Protestant England, Alexander is so affronted that he disobeys the order and leaves his boss to die. So while he may not like non-Catholics, that doesn't mean he wants to murder them down to the last man, woman, or child. Even non-believers are a part of God's kingdom.

Superhuman Strength - Alexander is strong enough to bisect a vampire in half or throw a blade and pierce a tektite composite that a horde of ghouls couldn't. He can melee Alucard who tears apart men and monsters with his bare hands.

Superhuman Speed and Reflexes - Alexander is fast enough to track semi-automatic gunfire though he can only block full automatics.

Superhuman Durability and Endurance - Alexander can endure gunfire from assault rifles without staggering or recover from a bullet to his head; however, there are limits. Augmented and magical weaponry have pierced and shredded his body and vestments.

Regeneration - Alexander has the ability to regenerate from even the most grievous wounds like a bullet to the head, though it did seem to stun him for a short while. This ability seems to be the result of secret Vatican biotechnology. Like his durability, he has a weakness to anti-regeneration and magical weaponry that prevent healing.

Bayonet Mastery - Alexander is a skilled melee combatant who prolifically uses blessed bayonets. He can wield them like claws from between his fingers and throw them fast enough that the shockwaves can shatter windows along their trajectories.

Scripture Manipulation - Alexander can summon and utilize pages of holy scripture for a variety of purposes. He has displayed the ability to create barriers to defend or prevent enemies from escaping. Even teleportation is possible, helping him escape enemies or delivering him to the heart of a battle. He's even used them to ensnare his enemies, limiting their movements.

Blessed Bayonets - Alexander seems to have an endless supply of these despite how impossible it might seem. They have the ability to nullify regeneration of monsters like vampires. While they are primarily used as blades, he also had an exploding chain variant that he used to wipe out dozens of ghouls.

Can it transform into qt gurl? Because my decision is heavily influenced if it turns into a qt gurl. :V

oh my god you did it

But why not just try making friends with the non-evil dragon that's not looking to kill people?
...Maybe a quarter, if I'm generous, of the characters here would do that. Half are neutral, but would lean towards giant juggernauts of reptilian being a threat to slay over befriending, and basically replace 'befriend' with 'ignore'.

The last quarter have murder it, murder it more, mind control why are you looking at me? pointing it at people we don't like, trying to ride it, or just ignoring it as the options.

I have made an error. Unlucky already submitted a sheet. It's Look to the Left that should hurry. Oopsies.

Applicant volume finally got to me. Apparently it requires a number that I'm sure is some sort of record.

Hey guys, what's going o-

*sees thread talking about killing dragons*

...Killing.. Dragons? Why... why would you...
*flash back*
*end flashback*

I hope you don't plan on trying this if Link gets in. He might take it poorly.

Yes I know it's noncanon, doesn't make it any less heartbreaking to me.

I'd like to note that I was mostly being facetious with the "Why can't it be killed?" bit.

If A. it causes no genuine threat to the environment, B. Nobody is paying her to do it, and C. You don't need to do a full slaying to get the materials from it that people can actually do anything with, then it's not really Rosanna's job to make it dead, now is it?

"Let my people go."
"They're not even your people, Volga. They're divine beings or something, not monsters."

I seriously wonder if the number of applicants I have is some sort of record. Anyone know of a game that got more than 37 unique players within three days?

Now, time for selection and objective rolls.
