This is the most amusing choice and it could lead to something new. Afterall our luck lead us to him so it could mean Heaven's will has been changed or something something.

Heaven's will has definitely changed. There was that bit with the golden saint kid that revealed that tribulation lightning isn't as strong as it used to be and Fang's vision of The Pit sending its darkness or whatever to corrupt the heavens. This shows that that which is above all now resides below.
