I've shown this to people in the OOC IRC channel, but I figured I'd show it here as well.
Due to my rampant hatred of having to cross-reference seven different points in the same sourcebook (particularly when leveling up), I've created a GoogleDocs-based
generic character creation sheet for D&D5 that calculates 90% of your character's stats for you. This INCLUDES sorting and giving laconic descriptions of spells and their added effects when you use a high-level slot for them - just slot in your character's race, class, base stats, and (in the second tab) experience, and it'll take care of the rest!
Other things in the sheet include:
- Character abilities by level, which gradually fills in as you gain more levels
- Character abilities by class
- Number of spells for basic classes
- An XP tracker that automatically increments levels (currently set for Medium Track; I'll be adding Slow and Fast Track later)
- Auto-programmed Ability modifiers, based on class, race, and stats
- Class-specific notes (such as Primal Paths/Totem Animals for Barbarians, Martial Arts scores for Monks, etc.)
- An Equipment page with automatic weight calculation (just enter weight and number of said objects, it'll do the rest)
- A beastform tab for Moon Druids (Land Druid rules will need to be programmed in later)
I've also made a
similar character sheet for 13th Age (which I'm currently in the process of updating), as I am a rampant masochist.
Make a copy of it, take a look, and see what you think!
