Oh my god, Crossing Plutonian Shores just enhances the whole "slain"-mentor-pretending-to-be-dead shenanigans.
daughter of the tyrant lizard avatar ftwOne thing I'm looking forward to is seeing how the Familiar Becomes a God charm from previous editions is implemented, given that we now have a Be Adopted By a God and Get Benefits charm. How many Sidereals are officially related to their Familiars? How many people that Sidereals are mentoring call their pet rat Mom? Can you be descended from a Tyrant Lizard god?
Versatile: Archery, Brawl, Melee, and Thrown Charms with this keyword can enhance attacks
and parries with Martial Arts if the Sidereal uses a weapon compatible with that Ability.
Charms from multiple Abilities can't enhance the same action
Sure, the heroes you mentored who thought you were dead were even more upset when they found out that the deity they were supposedly descended from was your Familiar, but they cheered up when they found out that your Familiar is a tyrant lizard.
Has anyone done a rewrite of it yet? Because I would pay actual money for a properly thought-out 3e Thaumaturgy rewrite.I'm really not a fan of seer's starry eye.
Thaumaturgy is still shit in 3e, and the fact they keep having to put it on package and bundle deals to get someone to consider using it shows this. It's a charm that effectively gives 9 background dots and I still don't want to touch it.
Iron Brute Strike is my favorite. Respond to a Charisma or Appearance roll against you with a reflexive decisive attack, and if you do aggravated or 3+ levels of damage, you give them Hideous. One day, Mars woke up and decided that the levels of betrayal, resentment, fratricide, and selfishness in Creation were far too low, and things were generally just too friendly.
So she created this Brawl charmset.
Oh god, it's so horrid. Dead Spouse Defense alone, even.
It's mortal level magic, obviously it sucks compared to shit like Sorcery. Being able to make free bread, start fires without fuels, and the one good one on the Exalted level, tea reading, are all pretty great, with the last one being good for most anyone. Exalts get Charms to have a bunch of minor magic tricks to do nonsense with, but if you want meaningful thaumaturgy on the Exalted level, Sorcerous Workings are right over there.I'm really not a fan of seer's starry eye.

You can combo it with the Battles charm and no one will react to you suddenly slogging someone. And the person you whack can't hold the action against you. Absolutely disgusting combo.Iron Brute Strike is my favorite. "Would you like to hear the word of Oblivi- oh gods my face!"
