Sorry my lovelies, I'm afraid that right now I'm once again too busy with RL issues, to dedicate much time to writing.
The update will come soon, I just can't promise how soon.

I'm overstressed atm, and don't wanna math all that much.
Temp hiatus until I clear out my head a bit.

Revamp/restart Notice
Yeah, I kinda blew myself up...
My tendency toward overcomplicating stuff had once more bit me in the ass, and I suffered the burnout for it. Also, some RL stuff happened, but that is neither here nor there.
But, never fear if you loved this project, for I intend, if nothing untoward happens, to fully restart it with more streamlined gameplay, by the end of this month. I simply have too much material developed for me to abandon it completely.

I am also posting notice/invite for someone willing to take the thankless task of being my sounding board in relation to the quest and to keep badgering me so I don't alow my periodic malaise to halt the writing. again.

In the meantime, I've gotten wonderdraft map-making program.
It is totally amateurish since I really am still very much unpracticed in the use, but for now have a map of Old Tasakrim, Beastlands and Skeggheim.
Here is just Tasakarim portion of that map
Skeggheim and Beastlands are so bare because the imperial don't actually have all that much information on those lands. Or, at least that is my excuse :D

@yannoshka Still here for this one, but I'm not capable of being a sounding board right now. Currently stuck trying to write up a lot of stuff for Keeping to the Dream: A Warhammer Age of Strife Quest most of it philosophical. So I am only here for spell checking or if I get an idea I can use. Feel free to use the stuff I already wrote up for this quest in some way if you think there's a place for it in the reboot.

For Your Viewing pleasure - Now with more colors and labels!
BTW, if anyone could suggest to me an image hosting that doesn't reduce/resize down my images, and that plays well with the forum, I'd be much obliged

Since Imgbb seems to be down
I'm reposting the new map in imgur

again, any thoughts, opinions and questions are not only welcomed, but will assuredly aid me in making the V2 better, so if you have any at all, you are one and all wholeheartedly invited to post them.
As for me, the more I look at that map, the more I feel the need to make the Mist smaller

The Mist is fine how it is, it's about the size of Newfoundland in RL right? The size is about right for a place called The Mist, and if mapmakers are not sure about the size of the place...

And that's the problem.
It's supposed to be the settings' Caribbean :D

Joking aside, I wasn't going to do that drastic a change, just a few tweaks.
Here

Might as well ask. Can we see the stat sheets for the next generation now?
Also, here are the sheets for Thom's sons and Taesta's daughter
Missing char sheets will come whenever (for Taesta's remaining get) and after War Turns for Anora's.
Just a reminder to folks planning for education:
Aseryah does have 4 younger brothers.
I'll stat them soon, and it should be fairly obvious that almost all of them will be schooled in religion...
Actually, since this does not even spoil anything:
Talasin - double celestial pantheon religion
Turgud - religion (general) and diplomacy
Torin - religion (celestial) and philosophy
Randor - military and history

That's Thalia, Anastacio, and Tessa for Anora's kids, and Talasin, Turgud, Torin, and Randor for Taesta's sons.

Yannoshka should have the stat sheets for Anora's kids laying around somewhere, as Tessa is the heir.

Huh wait @yannoshka did you actually take my idea of the Whisper:

-[X] Write-in: The Whisper - A place long talked about in taverns on the Southern Ocean as a source of horror stories. According to the sailors in those taverns it is a cursed patch of mist in the part of the Southern Ocean close to the Lesser Mountains that comes alive on cursed days and devours ships whole. In your youth you went looking for adventure and came to know the truth of the place. Unfortunately the truth is that The Whisper is far more disturbing, horrifying and disappointing than those sailor stories could ever describe. The Imperial maps name the place as the Pitch-Mist Cove and call it a bad patch of shore to sail near or trough. That's it. It was never important enough to the Tasakarim empire or it's inheritors to get more than a colorful name on an old overly detailed map. Even though it is filled with shipwrecks that have been incorporated into the reefs that sunk them and the strange conifers that grow as wide and tall as the tallest spires straight out of the water and that sound that slithers trough the mist and ones clothes right over ones skin.
Pros: Good Waterproof Lumber, Forgotten by the World, Salvage, Proximity to trading lanes, Reef Lanes (you know how to sail trough here, others don't), Mist Shroud (your settlement is hidden from view), Haunt (this place is unnerving at best and it is your home so you don't take morale damage from being in it anymore).
Cons: Little if any arable land (It's just a bunch of Reefs that jut out of the water here and there with trees and growth that turn them into something resembling small islands) , Moderately high chance of detection (the people that sail on the ships in the waters near it are going to raise alarm if they realize where you are coming from), Pirate infested territory (the local pirate bands consider the place a mythical haven that is rightfully theirs and will raid and invade if/when they discover it), Hell is that noise/touch (there is no one there and the noise doesn't feel like it's just the wind), Haunt (this place is unnerving at best and any new people to the place take morale damage from just being in such a place).

and turn it into something workable in the Mists? That was my most half-baked idea that I added to this quest. I'm looking forward to see what you did with it and how much is just your own ideas since you describe it as the rebooted settings' Caribbean. Also the smaller Mists look better so either break up the larger Mists into smaller islands that encompass the larger region or use the smaller Mists.

kinda.
I mostly took inspiration from it, but for the most part, went in my own direction.
Since you originally proposed the Whisper, I got the pirate cove-esque wibes from it, so when the time came for me to start reworking things up, I took that original impression and ran away with it.
In this wersion, the Whisper was going to be a right proper pirate harbor, full of scum and villainy, and scallywags, and all the good pulp pirate tropes and...
Well, it needed to be bigger.
So, I placed it into an archipelago. That I 'creatievly' named The Mist, to kinda keep with the theme you'd set up.
Then, I had a light bulb moment, and moved the archipelago right smack dab in the middle of an important maritime trade route, because well, that is a logical place for pirates to be, yanno?
And thus The Whisper became the modular, mobile, boat-and-raft not-capital of the pirate, outlaw, cultist and every other outcast infested/dominated region of the Misty archipelago, olloquially called simply, The Mists.
It is an effectively unpolicable area, due to the constant fogs, treacherous, ever shifting currents, reefs comparable only to those of the dire sea, and a thousand hostile eyes, all wit their own reasons to fear, resen and hate the Tasakarim.

Like I said can't wait to see what ideas of yours were used for this one. Also people don't name places creatively colloquially, they just use whichever nickname fits first.

Part of the joke was the lack of creativity...
Calling the place perpetually shrouded in, well, mist, that the largest local polity named 'Misty archipelago', The Mists was hardly an act of inspired brilliance 😁

V2 of the quest is on now

Empire lost, but the spark remains v2 - original setting CK2 quest Original - Fantasy

These are dark times in the ravaged lands of the former Tasakarim empire, as the new, self-established noble houses and ancient bloodlines make war upon each other over the slightest, most minor of provocations. More often than not, provocations that are as illusory as large bodies of water in...
