How Dice Rolls Work
  • Informational
    • Character sheet is here.

    Dice rolls are 1d10 + Stat + Proficiency + any applicable bonuses, such as Boons.

    You may spend 3 Tension to Overdrive for a retroactive +5 to your roll (a Determination Overdrive), or +3 to an ally's roll (a Teamwork Overdrive). I will also automatically overdrive to avoid exhaustion or unconsciousness.

    It is possible to critically succeed (on +5 on skill checks and +10 on combat rolls) or critically fail (by the same margins), but rolling a 1 or a 10 does not automatically crit in either case. It is possible to crit retroactively by Overdriving.

    Your stat bonuses have names:
    • Vigor grants a Strength bonus.
    • Agility grants a Dexterity bonus.
    • Spirit grants an Aura bonus.
    • Mind grants an Intuition bonus.
    • Resolve grants a Guts bonus.
    Dice are rolled on a first come, first serve bonus. You only roll for Deedee.

    • These rolls seem kinda typical except for actually hitting a lore one. Let's make friends and influence people.

    EDIT: 18 vs 13, which is a critical in a normal skill challenge.

    If that was Deedee using her charismatic boon of Sylphan immediately upon waking just to flirt with Hikaru, I just want you to know that I approve of this sensible and productive application of it. :V

    This feels really novel to me. In the abstract, I know lots of religions have prayers and ceremonies involving motion and dance, but I've never encountered any personally. It's neat.

    You can't turn most boons off. She didn't mean to, it just sort of happens.

    Though it makes her charming, not seductive, note.

    It's actually quite common. Consider Sufis, Quakers... any monastic martial art.

    Sylphan is a popular god for travellers, public speakers, merchants, and lovers. Also, for con artists, grifters and thieves.

    (Though Deedee could try using a massage to heal this form of damage too. Or at least get her mind off of it :D)
     
    Let me just do a thing to prepare for the post.

    Hikaru - 18 Wikiwalk, Critical
    Ace - 21 Athletics, Critical
    Alesha - 10 Leadership, failure in range of Teamwork Overdrive. (You have 4 Tension.)

    Could I get people to tell me if we should Teamwork Overdrive?     You will retain your Tension until 2.5, but lose it then. (You gain Tension through posting fanwork and speculation, and I did count those silly memes.)
