7 Holy Pyramids (Riot God Quest)

@ShieldCrown
Are you still going with your Stella Anima act? I've thought of something to synergize with it, though its currently a rough draft.

Yeah, just going to downgrade it so that it's limited to just the region only.

EDIT:

[] The Stella Anima 2

A large sphere of fluctuating light that is placed high up above the Pyramid, it collected the souls of the dead, be of natural or unnatural causes, of the region into itself. Souls stored within the Stella Anima are placed into a deep slumber and experience pleasant dreams of their personal paradise. Those who hold powerful wills and DETERMINATION can reject the embrace of eternal slumber and be ejected from the Star of Souls, appearing as a spectral shooting star as they are cast back to the earth to be reincarnated. Souls beyond the lands of the Pyramid it hangs over are beyond its grasp. It also cannot claim the Souls of Immortals should they perish.

@Zakelga .

Neat, a nice and simple peaceful afterlife for a relatively nice and peaceful land. Do the souls that reincarnate keep any of their past memories?

I'd assume they could?
Maybe problem is that the memories usually stored in bodies? So this is not happening often, because soul while going away from it vessel should take some memories with it from the body. Of course, there are some magical creatures or interesting cases, which work differently.

Huh, first location is almost done. Didn't think about it too much. It felt pretty fast. Can we give this place a name?

[] The Soul Star

A large sphere of fluctuating light that is placed high up above the Pyramid, acting as a collection system for the souls of the dead within the region, sucking them up into its own shifting mass. Souls stored in the Soul Star will be placed into a deep sleep and experience idealized dreams of their personal paradise. However, Souls with potent willpower and determination can resist the Soul Star and eject themselves from it to reincarnate back into the living world, having their memories suppressed deeply beneath their subconscious, though certain skills and abilities can manifest through a sort of muscle memory (a master smith can subconsciously apply their previous knowledge and skills in their new life, for instance). Immortals cannot be pulled into the Soul Star when they die.

Okay, the third version of the local afterlife idea.

yea sorry guys, ive been scatterbrained and not very focused lately. Im trying though

Hey man, it's alright. Do what you got to do.

While you're here though, what do you think of the latest version of the Soul Star? Is it still Great or did it get knocked down to Big?
mostly its a matter of range rather than power i believe

but Ill come back to this in the morning as I am barely functional

Writing Delays?

Iiiim going to have to say its still probably Great, given that its both big permenant effects and affecting the whole region

Also...I think Ive come to the tentative conclusion that its naturally going to get tougher adding to each area ontop of what is already there, and its also natural that I might get intimidated by how long the updates get the closer we get towards Act 7 (like, 1.5k +) so...Im just going to apologize that Its taken me this long without notice, but Im hereby giving notice that this might possibly be the trend in the future.

That being said, Im feeling good today, so I can at least get started!

Edit: for reference, I went back to check the word count on the last update- and that was almost 3.5k! Thats a lot of words!

Hey guys, given how big the next update is going to be, you ok with it being split into chunks?

(And sorry for the long break, and thanks for your patience)

I am okay with it! Hope you are enjoying the holiday.
Its been good so far! The challenge of making thanks giving was so handily met that im *still* eating from it

I had spatchcocked the turkey and froze up the removed spine, neck, and giblets bag. I recently used the back and neck (with chicken) to make some shredded meat for soups and sandwiches. And i used some of the stock to make vegetable soup for tonights dinner :)

And i used up the last of the cheese ( bought to make mac n cheese) for lunch earlier

So that leaves me some stock, the giblet bag, and a portion of cranberry sauce I had tossed into the freezer too

So yea, much victory there :)

And the mental break was nice. These long posts took more of a tollthan I thought they would

Eyy, it lives! I'm fine with it split into parts, gives me more time to come up with new stuff.

I thought, it was dead already. Good news everybody! :V

Yeah, I'm fine with it being split into parts, just happy to hear that this quest is going to get continued.

Yea, unfortunately my mind has a hard time sticking with something for long periods of time- amplified by how long the updates here have gotten and its tiring effects ( turns out double your previous max wordcount is nothing to sneeze about)

The good news is that That same brain *hates* admitting defeat or seeing potentialgo wasted, so my quests often cycle or get resurrected! :)
