Blue Swarm (Mass Effect/Starcraft Swarm Control Quest)

also Thresher Maw aint that crazy with how much shit the zerg truly has, what it can do is basically give us the codes for possibly a mutation/alteration of the Nydus worm/cannal. Which case our bases become HELL to invade as we can reinforce pretty much instantly, and with Nydus worms, we can EASILY start the raids into enemy territory at fricken will.
We could also make a "Siege Worm", an underground building destroyer. In game turns, moves while burrowed and gets powerful bonus damage against buildings for an otherwise anemic single target, Lurker-esque attack.

it aint shepards crew, most likely a patrol, specter, or merc group.

Add in our capabilities of surviving the shit in the galaxy, and the fact we dont NEED mass relays, makes us a nightmare in the waiting for the reapers to grind on...after all the zerg beat the Xel-Naga with sheer force of wave tactics with primitive for us zerg forms from Zerrus...we can do so again with the full might of a reborn swarm.
First of all I don't know much about Zerg beyond Hive Zerg, Primal Zerg, and Tyranids are Zerg on steroids. Oh and Mecha Zerg are a thing, somehow...
Anyway I was referring to how Thresher Maws take on metal content of the area around where they grow to become tougher. Spit acid, don't need to breathe, and launch their young thru space. And with Zerg growth rates and ability to tweak genetics? Fun!
We can make a Thresher Maw, perhaps of a new breed, sets up and nobody who comes across the area which buys time. Not too mrn

This is pretty much "Zerg" in a nutshell to be honest, seeing as we are mining to produce units, have units that spit acid, possess void capable strains, and will get interstellar travel at some point.

not much to be honest, but they could be a suprise somewhere in their genetics, and may lead to nydus worms that can attack and establish a breach-head for our zerg to swarm out of them.
Sooooo other than a fake TM form to fool others into staying away from an area while we build it up there's no value to studying the thing?

Not at all. While the Zerg have an extensive library of genes, the Thresher Maw is adapted for local conditions. Plus, who knows what you might get from combining traits or pushing the hyperevolutionary button?

Though to be sure being able to throw some Thresher Maw acid on something is certainly a way to shift blame while we remain hidden.

Also it's more that we had an extensive library of genes. Whatever happened has severely degraded that catalogue and left us having to patch holes in the most basic of structures and units. We need every possible boost to recouping that loss as possible.

The think i want most from the Thresher Maw is the gene to be able to feed on absorbing significant quantities of solar radiation, should lower the upkeep of our zerg and boost the creep allowing for more upkeep

If we can get Creep to generate Biomass passively through Photosynthesis then that alone is worth the effort to grab the TM

Man, I hope my plan works out this turn, cause we're going to need allot of work to get the Zerg fully kitted out with tarantulas and hydralisks for us to not worry about much stuff, as well as have a way to wreck the worms and the outpost…probably need a defiler and infestor prototyped soon enough to see how they would work here.

Plague+infestor spores will do wonders.

With our low rate of Vespene I'd rather put it into building up Lairs in order to try and move from spreadsheet building and more into an action economy.
