Charlie wasn't what he himself would call happy, but he had a stable job, so he wouldn't complain. And honestly, ten-hour days weren't all that bad. What else would he spend his time on, otherwise? So he was fully expecting to continue his career, in one form or another, until retirement.
Then he died. In his own home, in his own bed.
Only afterwards, now with far more arms and a strange relationship with gravity, did he start panicking.

The strangest location in Gensokyo, at least amongst those which remain comprehendible to the ordinary human mind, is the Scarlet Devil Mansion. A Western mansion, sticking out like a sore thumb in an Eastern land, inhabited by: a gatekeeper who can't gatekeep, a maid / ninja / very normal human who can control time itself, an asthmatic witch with an impressive collection of books in Esperanto, the mansion's vampiric mistress with a penchant for trolling, and the aforementioned mistress'...
