Gods. The Travelers are vile criminals. Their whole 'oh, it was all for my human eating monster-friend'! is kind of silly. Just, man. Just because you're 'sympathetic' with the characters you read from in a... in a story. When it comes to reality? Gosh. Fuckers should be thrown in jail. Especially Noelle. She got like what, 30 people that was eaten, subsumed and cloned? Perversion of nature right there, man. Cleanse it with fire!

It doesn't strike me as a realistic reaction. They're villains whom have made a lot of people miserable. Getting them a 'jail free card' is kind of cheap.

To be honest, I don't know that much about the Travelers. As previously mentioned, I haven't read the entirety of Worm, so the extent of my knowledge is pretty much who they are, roughly what they do, that they're from Aleph, and that Noelle's power is seriously fucking her up.

This reaction is more realistic than you seem to think, since I probably would just shove them through a portal. Not my problem any more, and not weighing on my conscience with the moral issues of killing someone who had no option in what happened to her - regardless of whether or not what she did afterwards was right.

    Holy shit, guys. I was driving past the Ellisburg exclusion zone this morning, and there was this massive white light and the biggest fucking boom you've ever heard. I thought a nuke had gone off for a minute! I got a bit of footage of the end of it, and when it clears up, there's nothing left except a glowing crater.

    Okay, official word from on high has it that one of our boys on-site overheard the blokes who did it. Five of them, one called Kinesis who actually blew the place up and one called Shaper who seemed to be the leader.     @EastWest: The Chief Director has tentatively ranked Kinesis at Blaster 10, and all of them at least Mover 4 for flight. The others are assumed to be similarly dangerous until evidence to the contrary arises.

    Okay, so I'm sure we've all heard about the destruction of Ellisburg. If you haven't, you can read about it here. Anyway, the PRT has released a statement both officially and on these boards that five people were present, of whom we know the names of two - Shaper, the assumed leader, and Kinesis, the one who was actually responsible for it. Other than that, we've got nothing.

    Update: We know all of them, now, and that there were six. See below.

    Shaper, the leader of the group: Mover 9 (Teleportation, flight), Shaker 8 (wide-range phytokinesis - plant control, for the uneducated), Trump 6 (power boosting/nullification), Thinker 6 (Power sense, enhanced senses)

    Kinesis, ginger and the butt of all the jokes that come with it: Blaster 10 or likely more (fucking gigantic energy blasts), Mover 4 (flight)

    Wavelength, Legend-lite: Blaster ? (At least 9, no fancy rainbow lasers but enough of them to blot out the sky), Mover 4 (flight), Thinker 2 (can see EM spectrum)

    Vault, Eidolon 2.0: Trump ? (>9, much like Eidolon, but, instead of getting random powers out of every power ever, has a smaller selection he can consciously choose from)

    Titan, god of drinking contests: Brute ? (>9, nothing Shaper & Co. have tried will scratch him), Thinker 8 (massively enhanced intelligence to the point that the tech he's designed is actually capable of competing with low-level Tinkers, enhanced senses), Mover 7 (hypersonic flight)

    Inspire, the walking singularity: Tinker 12 (his specialty is specialities - he can enhance his own abilities over time, furthering his understanding by selecting new specialties as his power grows. Buuuuuullllllshiiiiiiiit!)

    In four days, he has taken out the heads of all three principal gangs in the Bay, and entirely removed the E88. It makes one wonder what, exactly, the Protectorate were even doing all this time...

    @ArmsmasterBrandUnderwear - What you have to remember is that, first and foremost, the Protectorate are government. That means rules, rules, rules and more rules. By the time they were ready to move on the gangs, the moles in their organisation would have leaked everything already and it would be pointless.

    Even if they managed to make it covert, what then? Go after E88? The ABB will capitalise on the opportunity to expand their territory. The same thing would happen the other way, and the Merchants would trickle in regardless. Coil would most likely make a move, and before you know it you have an all-out gang war.

    Furthermore, the Protectorate simply doesn't have the manpower for it - the Empire alone packs more capes than them even when you don't think about ABB, Merchants, Coil and the various independents. The only reason I got away with it is because me and my friends are both new, and therefore unexpected, and, as capes go, very powerful.​

    We need a PRT/Protectorate Interlude, badly. Because they should be shitting themselves about now. This group has within days of arriving on the scene effectively crushed three criminal gangs, taken out Heartbreaker and Nilbog. Effortlessly.

    The poster is referring to 'kinesis' as in things like 'aerokinesis', 'geokinesis', 'dynakinesis' - which are generally interpreted as 'control of X'. I know that kinesis literally refers to motion, but for the average Joe it's a power that lets you control a thing.
