World of Chaos - Fantasy Crossover NRP

OMFG What is going on?? Damn, someone quickly update me on nations and stuff around here, kinda used to what we had ober at the other site. At least Japan is still here. A friendly face XD.

Is that from the 'Reds' Thread, or is that a thing for this RP?

I'm fine eather way, but I though the T-14 was supposed to be an Abrams Expy...
I decided to make my own tank from scratch since the cold war was so different from OTL and would have different specifications from the American brass. I might look at the other stuff but I really did want an oscilating turret tank.

MCU America
Skaven America
Democratic Communist America
Meritocratic Knightly America
Modern Zoroastrian Persia
Edwardian era Europe with impossible creatures esque genetic engineering
A Winx club AU made to be grimmer and darker and to have nations and stuff.
Rock giants
Gou'alds
Faerun elves.
The Cybrans from Supreme Commander
Imperial Japan
Ultra-Capitalist Goblins
Trollkin from warmahordes

Just off the top of my head.

Check the first three posts, I listed them all, including their positions.
Alternatively use the threadmarks and click on Game Tracker for the same effect.

Where'd you get the Model from? I'm asking because I may want to do lore blurb about my MBT-70 Expy (It's survived 44 years of Front line service afterall)

Phew thanks @Mental Omega. Or however the tagging is in this site. Thankfully someone helped me out. It is a bit overhelming. Like I don't even know where the IC and CS tab is XD. Anyways answering your question I would be playing a tech race that I posted on the previous forum. Mostly fusion tech and power armor/exo armor, accompanied by aircraft. Thought I do want to bring in heavier armanents as we go on. Make em up on the fly ( as for writing them down here from my notebook full of this crap) I will posts it as soon as I know how to do hiders and such. Cause it is long. Thats the answer. Oh and willyvereb what colour do I get now? Cause I don't think blue is free anymore. Maybe a silver color if possible?

I looked up "oscilating turret" on deviant art and went through its pages until I found what I wanted.

MBT-70 would look mostly the same as M1 Abrams, except with bigger cannon. It'd have similar upgrades and everything.
Albeit with the potential of gas turbines perhaps you can use levitation technology with it?

@willyvereb Hey, Just wanted to make sure you're ok with my suggestion.

Also, just a thought, wouldn't the naval force of all pre-submarine nations get steamrolled by any decent submarine force on first encounter?

That was my thought, it basicly replaced the late model M60s and M1 Abrams(who'se expy was later adopted by the Tank Knightly Order), and survived through refits, and regular updates.
I'm thinking about using the Paladin Model from C&C: Generals to represent it. As for power, I already reference a higher level of Nuclear Power Technology, I'm wondering about having that be the standard.
Levetation tech...I don't know about, I removed Aetherite because coming up with custom Air Ships would be a hastle and a half. Bringing it back now would seem like exploiting stuff.

Submarines weren't considered viable fleet combat assets until a few decades after world war 2, and even then modern and cold war tactics called for submarines to keep away from the main fleet body during a major battle.

Submarines were, for quite a while; far too slow to keep up with surface combat ships and they couldn't submerge very deeply.

RPGuilds is close to the only site where threads are broken down to IC, OOC and Character tabs instead of these being separate threads.
Here we have a different section for IC threads which is the sub-section of Grand Strategy

Submarines are actually not that good for fighting ships unless you talk about modern versions. Also torpedoes were a concept and then existing weapon even in the 19th century.
I think the combination of radar and indirect artillery as well as bombers are a much greater threat to old navies.
But well, how does AA fire handle a levitating supersonic wooden ship which has a spell to protect it from projectiles?
There are always things which are outside what you can handle. You need to adapt to the situation as good as you can.
Besides, especially at the beginning, the GMs won't give you challenges which you absolutely can't handle.

Also which suggestion you mean? The color?
Please use the dual system. So your main color is green but what are the borders?

Anyways, does somebody else have GM-ing experience?
We're still looking for at least one more GM candidate to make this RP become more fluid.
Currently all of us are technically overburdened and there are at least several more potential players to join. Rather than closing this game at any date I'd wish to expand our GM base on a consistent basis.

Submarines were, for quite a while; far too slow to keep up with surface combat ships and they couldn't submerge very deeply.

Early torpedoes were mostly specced for anti-surface work though, IIRC some don't even have the ballast to go to subs' level

And the fact that submarines weren't as much of a threat is what make this terrifying. That's mean they're not viewed as a real threat and most naval force wouldn't have take the neccessary precautions against them, not to mention the ones that don't even know subs exist. Take into account that some factions have modern to futuristic technology, so their subs are more than viable for combat(at least against technologically inferior factions), meaning a surprise sub strike is going to sink a huge portion if not all of the victim's naval force before they even realized what just hit them.

Black border then.

The thing is that a small missileboat is probably going to be a more cost-effective way to devastate old navies than a submarine.

Indeed; even World war two era navies would be hard pressed to handle that.

Missile boats are OP against anything which cannot deal with missiles. Which is anything that was created before it.
:lol

So do you have like, a list of which opening posts you're doing or is it just in order of when profiles were posted?

Is there a background on other continents like Zhilian, Ayvar and so on? The ones not mentioned in the OP.

I have a faction profile ready, they're Fremen, but I'd like to know where I can land.

If I was going to do something out of Dune I would have gone with House Ordos...

House Ordos barely exists. It's mentioned in the semi-canon Dune Encyclopedia and expanded in the various Westwood games. It's really too irrelevant to be played as. May as well pick the Ixians at this point, but I think omnicidal zealot jihadists are really the cooler choice, despite the technological backwardness (gotta start with an army specialized in melee fighting while most people will have some sort of ranged warfare as their default tactic).

Emperor: Battle for Dune was my first introduction to the Dune universe, and I think House Ordos is really cool. Besides, it's not like the fact that they mostly exist in Westwood games would really make a difference in a game like this, it's hardly conditional on a very strict definition of in-universe canon.

Besides, they have the best music
