Is that from the 'Reds' Thread, or is that a thing for this RP?
I decided to make my own tank from scratch since the cold war was so different from OTL and would have different specifications from the American brass. I might look at the other stuff but I really did want an oscilating turret tank.Is that from the 'Reds' Thread, or is that a thing for this RP?
I'm fine eather way, but I though the T-14 was supposed to be an Abrams Expy...
MCU AmericaOMFG What is going on?? Damn, someone quickly update me on nations and stuff around here, kinda used to what we had ober at the other site. At least Japan is still here. A friendly face XD.
Check the first three posts, I listed them all, including their positions.OMFG What is going on?? Damn, someone quickly update me on nations and stuff around here, kinda used to what we had ober at the other site. At least Japan is still here. A friendly face XD.
Where'd you get the Model from? I'm asking because I may want to do lore blurb about my MBT-70 Expy (It's survived 44 years of Front line service afterall)I decided to make my own tank from scratch since the cold war was so different from OTL and would have different specifications from the American brass. I looked up "oscilating turret" on deviant art and went through its pages until I found what I wanted.Where'd you get the Model from? I'm asking because I may want to do lore blurb about my MBT-70 Expy (It's survived 44 years of Front line service afterall)
MBT-70 would look mostly the same as M1 Abrams, except with bigger cannon. It'd have similar upgrades and everything.Where'd you get the Model from? I'm asking because I may want to do lore blurb about my MBT-70 Expy (It's survived 44 years of Front line service afterall)
That was my thought, it basicly replaced the late model M60s and M1 Abrams(who'se expy was later adopted by the Tank Knightly Order), and survived through refits, and regular updates.MBT-70 would look mostly the same as M1 Abrams, except with bigger cannon. Albeit with the potential of gas turbines perhaps you can use levitation technology with it?
Submarines weren't considered viable fleet combat assets until a few decades after world war 2, and even then modern and cold war tactics called for submarines to keep away from the main fleet body during a major battle.@willyvereb Hey, Just wanted to make sure you're ok with my suggestion.
Also, just a thought, wouldn't the naval force of all pre-submarine nations get steamrolled by any decent submarine force on first encounter?
RPGuilds is close to the only site where threads are broken down to IC, OOC and Character tabs instead of these being separate threads.Phew thanks @Mental Omega. Or however the tagging is in this site. Thankfully someone helped me out. It is a bit overhelming. Like I don't even know where the IC and CS tab is XD. Anyways answering your question I would be playing a tech race that I posted on the previous forum. Mostly fusion tech and power armor/exo armor, accompanied by aircraft. Thought I do want to bring in heavier armanents as we go on. Make em up on the fly ( as for writing them down here from my notebook full of this crap) I will posts it as soon as I know how to do hiders and such. Cause it is long. Thats the answer. Oh and willyvereb what colour do I get now? Cause I don't think blue is free anymore. Maybe a silver color if possible?
Submarines are actually not that good for fighting ships unless you talk about modern versions. Also torpedoes were a concept and then existing weapon even in the 19th century.@willyvereb Hey, Just wanted to make sure you're ok with my suggestion.

I think the combination of radar and indirect artillery as well as bombers are a much greater threat to old navies.
But well, how does AA fire handle a levitating supersonic wooden ship which has a spell to protect it from projectiles?
There are always things which are outside what you can handle. You need to adapt to the situation as good as you can.
Besides, especially at the beginning, the GMs won't give you challenges which you absolutely can't handle.

Submarines were, for quite a while; far too slow to keep up with surface combat ships and they couldn't submerge very deeply.
Also which suggestion you mean? The color?
Please use the dual system. So your main color is green but what are the borders?
The thing is that a small missileboat is probably going to be a more cost-effective way to devastate old navies than a submarine.
Indeed; even World war two era navies would be hard pressed to handle that.
What like from Dune?Is there a background on other continents like Zhilian, Ayvar and so on? The ones not mentioned in the OP.
I have a faction profile ready, they're Fremen, but I'd like to know where I can land.
If I was going to do something out of Dune I would have gone with House Ordos...
