oh Yeah their position is probably the weakest in over 40 years I wouldnt be suprised if their were small revolts and resistance cells all over the world
Thier top brass are dead so theirs no coherant leadership or chain or command
Deaths head and the science department are dead so their uber machines stay broken when they go down and they cant be replaced and equipment in general; is losing qauilty so they lost the technological advantage that won the war in the first place or at least closed most of the Gap.
Meaning all the brains of the operation are dead
They are honestly teetering barring miracles
Edit Their Panzer hounds may breath fire but they lost all of their speed which is what made them more than a glorified tank. Their Machines are just in general exchanging Long term efficiency and effectiveness for the sake of flash to make it look like their stronger than they really are in the absence of Deathshead

Well, after some 20 years a new leadership has probably come out on top from the resulting power struggles, possibly with Hitler's (if he was still alive by then) stamp of approval. Who knows how competent they are and what damage the power struggle did to the Reich's institutions.

Hitlers a senial blood pissing idiot BEFORE then and the thing that kept the Reich from losing the last war was the Da'at Yichud technology which they are no longer capable of Reverse engineering or even replacing the ones they already have since the people that were researching it are dead check my edit of the last post for more on this

Oh, I'm aware. It's just he still holds a important position (even with the fact the New Colossus strongly hints he has been sidelined into a figurehead role) and his stamp of approval would be important legitimization for whoever wins the power struggle... assuming he isn't dead by then, which is entirely possible. I didn't quote anything else in your post because I didn't have anything to quibble about with it.
 
Given the state of Hitler's health in the new colossus he's almost certainly died of old age by the 1980s.

Unless they decide to go full circle and have him rig himself to a life support mech to become cyborg mecha Hitler and serve as the game's final boss.
 
Clearly they uploaded Hitler into a computer so he can lead the remains of their forces back into power....


But old school mecha-Hitler would be full circle yes. :)
 
Having Hitler stomp onto the field in some some Telemon pattern Dreadnought like monstrosity to serve as the final boss would be glorious fash bashing ridiculous awesomeness to rival Kung Fury.

And if I recall correctly, wasn't most of the Nazi Reich's infrastructure built using some form of super-concrete? You know, the super-concrete that is apparently rotting from the inside-out?

So not only do they have to deal with their entire government and military-industrial complex falling apart at the seams in the metaphorical sense, they also have every single one of their grandiose megastructures literally collapsing from their very foundations.

Well, only the sabotaged super-concrete is rotting. So it all depends on whether Set managed to spread the method of sabotage to more than just the concentration camp he was working in, perhaps through prisoner transfers to make up shortages from people being worked to death or epidemics among the population due to poor health. If he did, and most of the camps were producing the sabotaged stuff, then not only are their megastructures collapsing, but they're also killing anyone who's been breathing in enough of the dust from the rot through respiratory problems, giving the equivalent of black lung to all the soldiers guarding them and the elites living and working in them. Meanwhile, most of the actual population is fine, because only the people who live right next to one of the Nazi's monuments to their own ego would have gotten enough of the dust for the respiratory problems to set in.

And since the arrogant arseholes refused to admit anything could possibly be amiss with their great projects, the health problems went untreated and unresearched at least until 1960, giving them a good chance to get a solid foothold among people the Nazis really do not want to be dying from such things.

Killing Nazis is now controversial, what an era to live in. See the problem with making a game such as Wolfenstein in 2018 is that... you may be living in a world close to it already...

I seem to recall a news report in NEW ORDER where some engineer got executed due to his buildings falling down due to Set's recipe.

Let me guess: they (the Nazis) assumed it was because the engineer screwed up the recipe rather than the recipe itself being wrong?

Because if so, they aren't figuring out the actual problem anytime soon.:V
 
Just one look at that comment section depressed the hell out of me, but the trailer looked like this game will be awesome. BJ's lack of presence doesn't bother me, they're moving the story forward in this series.

I thought the Kreisau Circle found Set in the first place because they looked at where the concrete that was going bad was coming from, then did research and found Set? And that the Nazis didn't actually know Set was a Da'at Yichud member? Or am I misremembering?

I think it was either they were executing him for criminal incompetence because his designs fell down despite superior Reich super-concrete! Or that they were executing him for treason and spreading seditious lies for questioning glorious super-concrete handed down from the Fuhrer himself! Don't remember which, though. Either way, it was pretty clear that it was a PR move.
 
I´m not sure the US even if being freed of Nazis is in any condition to help Europe. If anything BJ was there to help them.

Huh. Just found out about this. Looking at earlier comments . . . It's more than a little ridiculous to have expected the Nazis to NOT have lasted until at least the 80s. Like, do you even comprehend how much of a turbo-bitch it would be to actually deal with Fortress Afro-Eurasia when you have to hop across the ocean instead of just needing to cross the English Channel?

And that's before even thinking about all the damage they have to repair after the heavy fighting of their revolution, and sorting out all the Collaborators, and just de-Nazifying things.

Though since both sides would have nukes now that there's an actual side able to oppose the Nazis . . . I'm crazy curious about how they're getting around MAD.

And I also find myself wondering how much of Europe is even left to liberate. Like, how many countries are just going to remain gone even after the Nazis get overthrown?

But don't mind me . . . I pretty much always take the most pessimistic view of this series.

Oh, and from what I'm seeing about the story after a little googling . . . BJ was doing something in Paris. He disappeared. His daughters are going into Paris to find him.

The question is more why the Nazis haven't collapsed yet. Even with Totenkopf giving them a technological edge, they must have driven their economy to the brink of collapse providing the manpower and material to conquer the US, much less hold it. (Why else would they be desperate enough to arm and train locals, even long-time sympathisers like the Klan, after hitting New York with a nuclear strike?) And that's before the Place-I-Can't-Spell Circle pull off their more spectacular successes, such as beheading the Alpha She-Wolf of the SS live on a talkshow.

Really, outside of "fringe groups" America seemed to be extremely accepting of Nazi rule right up until a single television broadcast apparently made everyone change their fucking minds.

It was less acceptance and more "fear of getting more nukes to the face".
