Wolf Spider (Worm) (Complete)

I feel all warm and fuzzy inside now. I'm glad that this story finished here. It really tracked the growth of your characters and their relationships well with their external struggles. Taylor fought off those trapping her in place, and also managed to work past all of her mental entanglements. Rachel managed to share herself with a group, just as she managed to invite others in to caring for her dogs, even to giving away puppies.

It's a really satisfying end to a great journey. Thank you, the Laurent!

Thank you for writing this story. It's been such a lovely experience to get this in my inbox every week for, wow, almost a year now. I'm going to miss this. It would be nice if it were to keep going forever, but I know what it's like to keep writing with a shrinking audience, and really it's much better to have a story that gets tied up with a little bow (or at least comes to some kind of intentional conclusion) rather than one which simply stops updating.

Besides, every story really ends with everyone dying, of old age if nothing else, so a story that updates forever really isn't a feasible wish in the first place. This is a good place to end it.

I'm really looking forward to your Star Wars quest.

I'll just say that some ideas involve Tay and Rae's kids, because really, their story is done already? There's more that involves them, for a while, but to some extent that becomes the story of the Pack. And then there's an after, for both.

congrats on finishing Wolf Spider, I enjoyed the ride! I also really like the tentative peace the Pack and the Undersiders find themselves in.

This was awesome and I loved every moment of it. If I ever see you in RL I will walk up to you and give you a hug.

A good story.

Congrats on finishing it, as well - most stories never manage that particular feat.

The one biological child (as opposed to adoptions), and the oldest, is a boy born of IVF to Rachel, thus making him, yes, a Son of a Bitch. He was going to be the viewpoint character for the sequel. Sixteen and finding his own way in life.
IVF using a donor, I assume, or is it through The Power Of Science?

ARGH IS SO FLUFFY!

But yea, was a great ride, congrats on getting it finished... so few do.

So what are you going to focus on/write next? I require my fix of Laurent. :p

AND THEY ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER!

Thank you again, and for real, for this. Only a few tears this time. Life is good now.

A few words are wrong:
though he sometimes saw one of them, slipping in--they he forgot he had

Of course she missed one meal or of eight,
But in general I have enjoyed all the words of this story, even though the words don't matter.

Congrats on a Worm story which is not only finished, but also complete. There's an important distinction, and there's no doubt that this is a complete story :D

While true, it seemed that you updated Wolf Spider faster than the others... or maybe its just me. I was just curious if you were going to focus on any of them in particular, or start something new.

Well, I mean, I'm starting a Star Wars Quest tomorrow. I'm in Grad School, so my posting is necessarily sometimes slow. I posted Wolf Spider so fast in part because I was done with it. It just needed to be edited and released by the time I started Grad School.

It also depends on what you're looking for? How do you feel about Quests in general? What sorts of genres and experiences are you looking for?

Split updates on a very slow schedule, but it's pretty long, so catching up might take some time.

Edit: Of course, Split is a very different kind of work from Wolf Spider.

Thank you for writing this. The one thing I wanted to read after finishing Worm was a great, long romance story involving Taylor and Rachel being together, and you gave it to me. Not only that, it was better than I could possibly imagined. I'll admit that the post-Endbringer content made for some tense reading, but the payoff was worth it and the epilogues were really satisfying.

I also enjoyed one of the story's main themes, involving lust and desire and how to reconcile and accept those feelings to make something meaningful, how even if you feel that way, it's okay. And it really was something intense, gripping and even moving, at times.

Overall, you've written something really great in Wolf Spider, and you should feel proud for completing this story, no matter how many people stuck with it. Your vision shone through and in the end, as long as you're happy with what you wrote, that's all that should matter for you.
