Happy New Year!

It seems like you had arrived just in time.

When you had first noticed of how there are a large school of your marine life that is swimming oddly straightforward toward one particular shore that you had just went to, you had been very concerned. Thus, you are now glad about how you immediately turn your course around in order to keep an eye on what exactly is happening.

From what you can see, nothing bad had happened to the Humans just yet. Around a dozen of them are still trying to catch some fish in the shallows of the gulf you had made, and despite of their fumbling gait, they seems to be determined on keep staying in the water until they had managed to bring in a much bigger haul out from your sea.

Something which you would pleasantly approve usually, were it not for the many bloodthirsty creature that is circling them.

Creatures which you are able to recognize.

They are a species of flesh eating fish. Roughly the size of a grown female Human, these predatory creatures possess 15 rows of sharp looking teeth within their jaws and a black coloured tip on the end of their fins. Swift and energetic, these agile sharks will still provide some amount of danger even to the larger Humans who they are all watching together hungrily.

Especially considering just how apparently bad the Humans are at swimming.

They might be capable. But, it is obvious, even to you, of how truly not compatible their Human bodies are in moving around fluidly while they are being submerged in a large body of water. Even if it's only partially.

Honestly, you don't even know of how to begin describing the feeling that you had as you saw a male Human who is proudly showing off his newly found swimming moves to others. One that you could only call as him just thrashing his limbs around aimlessly. The only reason he had even managed to barely move forward was because of the forward momentum of your waves.

Fortunately however. The Humans haven't wandered too far away into the deep parts of the lagoon. Even if the sharks were able to caught them by surprise, they should still be able to quickly get themselves away to dry land where they are safe from harm.

Still. You began to thought. Gaze searching through the area for the one thing missing in this entire situation. Something which you had been suspecting to be around ever since you had realized how these sharks were supposed to actually be timid againts those of equal or greater size than them. Where are you?

There you are...

Even as the sharks are starting to close in on the group of unaware Humans, you haven't yet forgotten about the one thing that has been leading these school of Blacktips towards here. And now, with them swimming right in front you, it is easy for you to figure out the cause.

It's another God. You mentally said in your mind with anger. Literally being able to feel how it's presence is pervading practically the entirety of your sharks in the surrounding area. Making them be far more aggressive than what they should have been, and even now is trying to tempt them into assaulting the Humans already instead of wasting more of it's time by merely observing. Causing you to seethe with a barely contained rage.

You had at first been confused about how the form of this unknown God was nowhere for you to see anywhere in the water. But, tracing back the lines left behind by it's power on the bodies of your Blacktip sharks, you are able to find it's exact hiding location. And apparently, it is currently inside one of them!

It's using the shark as a vessel!? You mentally exclaimed in utter bafflement. Mind almost couldn't even believe the sight of the completely mundane shark that is innocently swimming along with the other members of it's school while also radiating the presence of a God. Acting as if it isn't carrying something that would be able to easily pop it's existence should it ever wished to. How could it even be able to-

Not important
. You firmly decided. It doesn't matter as to how it was able to just hide itself like that inside the body of such a small creature. What is more important however, is how it seems like it is going to use a large number of your sharks in order to kill the Humans under your protection. Something which you wouldn't simply allow to stand unopposed. Now then...

How are you going to approach this?

How Are You Going to Intervene? You Will...

The Bold Newcomer Part 2
At a glance, everything seems to be just fine.

The Humans are happy. They are being well fed. And currently, they are even trying to get more fish from what your loyal waves are steadily delivering quite close to them. By only showing the good you are able to bring, you are slowly but surely rising their acceptance level towards you. To the point where, you shouldn't need to worry about them leaving for any Place else. Like what most of them did a short while ago.

And yet, the waves aren't just carrying a numerous amount of fat harmless fish. Right now, they are also hiding within them a danger in the form of a God unbeknownst to you.

A God, who is leading a school of hungry sharks straight towards the Humans you had just been taking care of. Seemingly intending to turn them into a target for the deadly fish's feeding frenzy. All the while, it is doing so while using the largest marine predator around as it's vessel.

Somehow.

It's demeanor, however, felt somewhat rash. Or at least, that's how it was according to what you are able to sense.

While you are in the middle of trying to find this unseen God, you had actually made a small connection between yourself and some of the sharks it is controlling. And from that connection, you are able to tell how the God is feeling confident in itself. Smug even. It felt like as if it is simply can't wait for the sharks to start their underwater attack already and is just impatiently urging for them to begin even faster.

You don't even think there is any kind of hesitation in it of something possibly going wrong due to how hasty it is being.

It would be a decision it will soon learn to regret, however. For above all else, this God has decided to mislook one. Important. Detail.

You-

ARE-

HERE.

And you will not let some random God you didn't know of just leisurely swims in and freely threatened all of your Humans. While pathetically disguising itself as an inhabitant of your very sea no less!

That is why... You began to quietly utter in your mind. Feeling as if you are going to burst as you kept on stirring up as much emotion as you can about the one who dared to actually offend you enough with it's bold and disrespectful action. Just breathing in and out all the rage and indignity that you have for the arrogant Thief over and over again until finally, you let it all out with a big mental blast full of your Divine Wrath. If you think you can just go and steal something away from me, Then YOU ARE DEEPLY MISTAKEN!!

STOP You commanded. Making your Will echo through reality in a manner that is impossible using only sound alone. With the order easily reaching towards the school of misguided Sharks that is currently being led astray by this insolent God that they have found and follow. Fully expecting them to listen and, most importantly, obey.

Thus, listened and obeyed the Sharks did. Eyes flashing momentarily blue, almost half of the school suddenly swerved their trajectories away towards their side. Breaking themselves away from the rest of their confused kind under the guidance of something much greater than them.

And, along with their acceptance of your being, also comes to you a flow of understanding.

An understanding of what these sharks are, and just what they are actually capable of.

They might not look like much, but you think there is some potential in them which you would simply enjoy cultivating.

Who-?! YOU!? But, before you were able judge any further, however, a stranger's voice then sounded out through your mind. One that comes in through the now stronger connection you had with some of the sharks. Shock and anger tints their tone. With the origin's identity being as clear as pure clean water. Why are you still here? Hadn't you just left!? Also, what are you doing!? Give them back!

You are just way too obvious, Thief.
You responded back through the very same connection. Calling your fellow God with a title you thought it properly deserved, before swiftly continuing. Give them back? Now why would I even do that? They are not even yours to begin with. They are fine where they are now. With me, the one they belonged to.

It doesn't seem to accept your response, however. For it quickly began to snarl at you indignantly. Thief!? What do you mean thief?! I was the one who had found them first. These sharks are all mine!

And that is where you are wrong, Thief.
You smoothly rebuke the foolish God. Before starting to explain away the irrational misconception that it is having. For I am <NEPTCYS>. The God of this very Sea you are swimming in. The definite ruler of all within it. Everything and anything which exist inside the boundary of this Sea naturally belongs to me and me alone. No one else. It doesn't even matter whether I know about their existence or not. They are mine regardless.

What a load of barnacles!

It is simply how the World is. Beside, do you really think I would just let you unleash them upon the nearby Humans? You seemed to know me, so you should also know how those Humans all fall under MY protection.

....

I suppose not.
You remarked icily, before immediately preparing to do a repeat. That is why, I would now take these sea creatures which you had unjustly claimed away from you, Thief. Blacktips! Hear me, your true rightful ruler, and-

NO! I won't let you! Come on dumb fishes. You're all almost there. Just hurry up and-

SUBMIT / ATTACK

It happens almost instantly.

After the two of you shouted out both of your decree rather simultaneously. All of the sharks were suddenly was enveloped with flashing membranes of dual coloured light but not-light. One half is blue, while the other half is red. Both are growing and shrinking againts each other in rapid succession. Looking as if they are struggling to dominate one another.

You knew without being told how these are actually you fighting your fellow God in a contest of Will over the sharks, for in a split second, the ongoing conflict that is happening becomes much more intense. With you beginning to feel some sort of strain againts something similar to you in nature as streams of more non-lights, more energy, are starting to turn visible for you. With the blue flowing out of you, while the red coming directly from inside the body of the largest shark around.

You absently took notice of how the sharks are violently thrashing about as they progressed on with their vitally needed swim. Simply helpless at being the battleground between two beings they have no way to even comprehend.

There is just no time for you to be feeling concerned about them, however. For after another push of Will, this round between the two of you is now concluded.

With another portion of the school now obediently heeding upon your wishes.

Good Sharks.

NO! Why- How did they listen to you!?

It is just like what I had said. They are mine, Thief.
You once again proclaimed. Feeling good about the result you had gotten.

Although, thinking back about what you have felt during the exchange, you yourself can't help but to also ponder...

After clashing with the God and figuring out just what kind of being they are through it, questions about how you are able to win is starting to emerge from within you. For it should have a pretty big advantage in this kind of situation. The only reason you could have come out victorious would be-

But I am <Horatlok>, the God of Excitement! Is what your peer is incredulously protesting as it loudly gave away it's name. Successfully cutting off your short current of thoughts, before furiously continuing. This is supposed to be MY thing. What I am actually GOOD at. MY CORE ASPECT. So how did you make them follow you instead of me!?

Well now, wasn't that something which is also pinging your sense of curiosity? Even though you had already figured out the reason, watching how this Horatlok is screaming for answers that keeps on evading it just fills you up with something which seems to make you swell.

Swell with something approaching joy, because for some reason, through the still existing connection that you had with it, you playfully let it know about what you had just speculated on. You are much weaker than both me and Thanoigea, aren't you?

WEAK!?
Roared the God inside the shark as it violently turn itself around to face you hatefully. Now not even bothering to pretend like how it's host should after hearing you. I'll show you who's weak you damned little-

"SHARP TEEEETH!!"
Loudly yelled someone suddenly over the the waves. Sounding as if they are in a panic. Something which catches both of your attention.

And then, when you turn your consciousness around to see just who, you feel like you are simply going to collapse after seeing how the Humans are currently situated so, so very closely with Horatlok's remaining Sharks. Where they would be very vulnerable should the sea creatures start to attack them without abandon.

In fact, nevermind starting, the Blacktip's attack seemed to have gone into full motion already! For they are now swimming directly amidst all the Humans. Ready and eager to nibble on some new flesh for them to eat and engorge.

NO! / YES, finally! Cried both you and Horatlok. Each with an opposite reaction compared with each other. Previous conversation momentarily being forgotten in favor of watching how the Humans would fare againts predators they likely have never ever seen nor heard of before.

What happened next, however, would gladden only either one of you.

Horatlok, did not feel glad.

Oh come on! Complained the God of Excitement as it sees the failure that is being done by what remains of it's sharks. Meanwhile, you could only feel relief as you saw the same superb performance.

The Humans are doing very well againts the Blacktips in the water. Even though all they did is escaping for the dry shore. Being able to do so without losing anyone againts those in larger numbers is certainly impressive. More so while they are in an environment they are not suited for, but very much so for their adversary.

Even though the sharks had managed to get themselves close, it doesn't seem to have done them any good. For the Humans reaction after the cry was let out is immediate.

The Humans wastes no time to go into a run, leaving any fish that were in their sight or hands behind in order to flee for their lives. A move that is seemingly filled with desperate determination. Even those who are being submerged up to their waist in water are still able to move very quicky by sheer brute strength alone.

And, for any sharks that were able to catch up to them or cut their way off towards safety, the Humans aggressively told them about how they are no easy meal by smashing their snouts away with their hard hitting pair of fists. Shocking their would be predator long enough for them to move decently far away from them. Where they would then soon join with the other fleeing Humans, discouraging any further attempts and making them be a far more difficult target to pursue.

"No, not alone! Go together! We-weak in middle! Protect from sharp teeth! To dry big rock! To Elder Jaga!" And, at the center of it all, an adult Human female is screaming herself hoarse through the cacophony of chaos that is happening. Letting out orders after orders which is slowly being followed. At fist only hesitantly, but with her seemingly being the only one who had any kind of idea on what to do, every other Human began to accept more of her instructions. "Distract, distract! Make noise for not group! Y-you! You! And you! Here! Hurry!"

From the sound of her voice, you know her to be the one who had first shouted out about the presence of the sharks. And by the looks of it, she got herself and the other Humans survival well in order. For while she seemed to struggle for a little bit, she is at least good enough to adapt to the constantly developing situation around her.

Come on you lazy fools! I need you to at least kill a few of them! Orders Horatlok, causing it to regain most of your attention.

You will put your OWN sharks nearby to protect the Humans should it becomes necessary. But, at the moment, you got yourself full in dealing with the Thief. Because letting your focus falter is not something which you really wanted to do.

Graaaaaah!!

Thankfully, you don't actually need to at the moment.

Even with more than half of their school suddenly not wanting to partake in the attack, the rest of the sharks still have some determination in them to fill their empty hungry bellies with some fresh Human meat. With one seemingly wanting to give the shouting human leader a try.

"Kizu, behind!" Warned another Human who had taken notice. Telling the young female about how there is a shark that is coming straight for her directly from her blind spot.

For a moment, the now named Kizu freezes right after she sees the shark. But then, she hissed ferociously at her incoming doom, and just before the sea creature was able to took a bite out of her, she jumped right on top of it's head where she is then able to circle her arms around the entirety of it's neck. Far enough away from the deadly pair of jaw with a desire to devour her.

The shark then became confused. How it is going to eat the Human if she is hanging right around it's neck? It tries to throw her off, but her grip is just too unyielding for it.

Then, before the shark can do anything else. Kizu suddenly and violently stabbed her right claws directly into one of it's eyes. Causing it to harshly jerk out in pain.

Which is the last thing it needed to get Kizu off from it. With a yelp, the Human could no longer take further hold on to the shark because of the slight spin which it makes. Dumping her flailing alone in the water.

Kizu hurriedly fixes up her stance. But the shark she had fought has already gone. Seemingly not wanting to risk it's other eye by continuing to go after her.

The rest of the sharks also didn't seem to fare much better. None of them were harmed quite as severely as Kizu's. Something which, despite of the situation, still put your mind at ease. For a little bit.

Chance! Which also creates a perfect opportunity for Horatlok to exploit.

Before you were even able to react, the God of Excitement had already pounced upon your sharks with the power of it's Will. Where you are able to feel how it just maul and shred completely the part of you which is inside them. Causing your control over them to be taken by the one who is now laughing snidely at you for it's 'victory'.

Hah! Who's weak now, Neptcys? That's what you get for looking down on me! <HORATLOK>!! The greatest God of them all! It boasted. Greatly annoying you.

Don't you dare to think you won. My sharks would eventually all answer back to me. You only need to patiently wait, O weak Lesser One.

What did you just say!?

So easy.
You quietly thought only in your mind as you enjoyed the spectacle of Horatlok simply raging about.

But still, despite of your declaration, you don't think you would be able to win agants your fellow God that easily.

Fighting Horatlok's influence over your sharks requires you to focus rather heavily on doing just that. By keeping some of your attention away from it, you are basically giving yourself a disadvantage. Something which would only worsen when you actually need to do something to prevent harm from befalling the Humans.

Then there's the God itself for you to consider. You still don't know why it is attacking the Humans in the first place. Malice doesn't seem to be the reason, but whatever it's plan actually is, it definitely didn't want you to be around for it, and it is most likely going to do something in order to circumvent you.

Horatlok, however, doesn't seem to be a God who does thing subtle. So the moment it tries to do something, you think there would be enough time for you to intercept it.

[X] Following The Lead: Then there's the issue of whatever Horatlok is trying to do with the Humans. You can't just leave that one alone now that you knew about it. If you want to stop it without fighting your fellow God directly, then trying to match whatever it is doing would be your only option.

I like this options because we don't now if we can take his domain or what he is trying to do to them and he could be a useful ally because the human of this culture will eventually go away from us and will feel safe to want excitement.

[X] Attacking The Head: Or maybe, should you be far more direct? You know where Horatlok is, and fighting your fellow God would definitely stop what it is doing.
