"Who Wants To Be The Demon King"

[x] D. Rustleberg

Our weakness is light magic and priests. Lets learn how to deal with priests.

I'm thinking we get a cult going and get them to profane the church. With the church desanctified we can kill the priest and then either kill the town or place it under new vampire management. Vampires need their cattle after all.

Luu-rii-saa (Gnoll) (Female) - A Monster-Bonded Gnoll, Luu-rii-saa does not specialize in the command of many beasts as her kin do. Instead her World-Devouring-Snake, Saa-Rii-Luu, was born a twin of her soul, creating a telepathic resonance between Gnoll and Beast. Perhaps due to her beast's cold blooded nature, she is much calmer than many of her clan. Went to the Grand Forest
On an unrelated note, Luu-rii-saa sounds very much like the sort of character I would've voted for had Gnoll won instead of Vampire, maybe except with some sort of Demonic Dragon Turtle instead of a World-Devouring-Snake. And as a result, she's the one of our competitors I'm rooting for and I sincerely hope the stars align in the future and we get to team up with her for a mission.

Also, Saa-Rii-Luu deserves all the warm sunlight she'd want and all the innocent Men her stomach can hold.

I'd personally prefer we spend the first task securing a powerbase, either the warrior dudes we can impress with sheer bravado combined with Peak Human physicality, or the Halflings we can just tell "We're in charge now" and who will likely just shrug, go "ok" and offer us some pie to take home.

"Well!" The little tinny voice of the tiny Fairy came from Nightshade, the fairy contestant, "Some might think, oh no, the poor fairy. Both Beast villages taken, and elf home too~" It teased as it flittered around, unlike everyone else who at most stepped forward, "But no! Why would I want to harm the few good Men in the world? No, send me to Gnomtinoplis! Or as close as you can!" A little tittering laugh, "I will free their spirit works, and show true havoc to those who do not respect the natural world!"
I like this one. She's whimsical.

To be quite blunt, nowhere else really fits for our build.
Rustleberg gets close, but being harmonious while our build is good for social manipulation? That's no good. And the other options either give us no way to not stand out, so that's off the table too, or in the case of Honey-hills, is so unrewarding we'd be gimping ourselves by going there.
For Johannasburg, all of it's pros and cons suit us just fine. Even the danger of heroes isn't too bad, since heroes aren't know for their social intrigue skills.

Whoops! Looks like I got here late. Thankfully, I still have time for my vote, which is:

Just seems like the most interesting option, and I'm not the biggest fan of capitalism anyways.

I don't think Honey-Hills is actually as unrewarding as it seems.

It is not going to the the source of spectacular Infamous Deeds, at least not outside of an epic duel with the unknown Hero, but destroying a peaceful village who poses no problems to literally anyone is uniquely called out as a "truly evil" act. This makes me think that Honey-Hills is actually one of the better sources of Demonic Power, which is both the resource we use to get better at what we currently do and also one of the areas on which we will be graded. And since it is by all accounts also a lesser risk area, it is also a good pick if we want to pick up additional traits by old-fashioned time and effort.

If you want Lydia to get better at Wool Magic, I unironically think Honey-Hills is the best pick as it both allows us to gain Demonic Power to spend and gives us the time to practice said magic without constantly needing to put out fires. (and because I don't think we're likely to find a decent Wool Magic Mentor at any of the locations, that helps too)

I still think Johannasburg is the best option overall, as it lets us do a wide variety of things and therefore be more flexible in our gameplan, but Shire-At-Home does have something to offer.

I think Johannesburg will be fine as well but it has such a long lead I might as well vote for the other options I find interesting. Staying close to home/the risky choice fits well with the Bold trait. And as for the halflings. I think that while killing them will be easy subverting them will be much more fun.

Actually. Thinking about the halflings. They are expecting a new hero, and who is to say that the new "hero" couldn't be a night owl sheepfolk? Hmm. Twisting them into serving darkness has a lot of potential.

My plan is to find people displaced or angry and spark off a rebellion.

I'd have liked the beastfolk villages, because then we could have played off the racial conflicts. Get a rep as a firebrand revolutionary.

I mean, we have Wool Magic, a magic specifically noted for its economic value, and given how likely Johannasburg seems to be what we go with, maybe it's worth establishing ourself in the Mercantile industry first? We have the Charm stat to pull it off, we can probably establish ourself as decently successful enough to make some real moves in the city, maybe set up some shady business deals or "independent" gangs who are actually on our payroll to score some Evil points?

Lydia said the selection order was from least favored, to most, and I would point out we are *third to last* in the selection order. Behind A Dragon, and A Demon Noble
It tracks with the ordering of the first Char Gen vote, which was based on the typical ordering of the Demon Hierachy.

Also, it is technically a Dragonkin we are right behind. Agatha is the only Dragon left.

While not a bad idea, there's a limit to how far we can entrench ourselves in just a month.

But it's definitely an easy way for us to make some cash, almost as easy as beating people up and taking their stuff.
