...Who Needs Enemies? [AltPower!Taylor / Worm]

Because so far, a three Endbringer siege of Brocton Bay, where everyone and their mother is crapping their pants wondering What will they do next? is less grimderp than Canon Worm?
That really depends on which point in the story. And it would be worse the majority if the Endbringers weren't given the no kill order. Plus, unlike cannon, this reads more as a dark comedy, so even if it is objectively worse, it doesn't seem that way.

Hey guys, quick question. There's supposed to be twenty Endbringers right?

Where are they? And I'm not just asking this for kicks. If Taylor is the Client to the Endbringers, then does that mean she could call on ALL of them whenever she wanted? And what would these other Endbringers be like? I know about Khonsu, Tohu, and Bohu, but what about the other fourteen? Do you think they'll come into play at some point?

Is this going to turn into an all out battle between twenty Endbringers and Scion? Because that would be a fight I would pay to read.

Pretty sure their sleeping on borders between countries.

Christ. So, what, are Endbringers just gonna pop up whenever Taylor accidentally says so?

PRT would be collectively crapping their pants if they saw seventeen other Endbringers pop up out of nowhere.

More like the Endbringers are on other worlds and either sleeping or waiting for a call to pop on in as needed. Because them being on Earth Bet from the start makes no godsdamned sense at all given the size of some of them, let alone how they 'got' there when Eden crashlanded a shitload of realities away (twenty 'meteors' the size of the Endbringers crash-landing on the planet are going to be quite noticable). Thus in order for that situation to make any sort of sense, the Endbringers have to be capable of traveling between various dimensions. Which would mean that, yes, the Endbringers can indeed pop on over to Aleph and go grab anything Taylor might want, much to the shock of Bet/Aleph/Cauldron.

I took that to mean that The Simurgh was going to end herself for getting a sandwich that Taylor didn't like, like what Leviatian asked if he should do when he soaked most of the comic Taylor asked for, and was preparing the turkey extintion order for her replacement to take over.

Dammit.
Now I want to give the Simurgh a hug, and then I'll get mindwhammied and serve Taylor sandwhiches and it will be all your fau-
...
Actually, if that happens, then I'll get to see the story unfold before the rest of you do.
Carry on.

Is this going to be a common theme with Taylor? Unintentionally causing the Endbringers to almost commit suicide and then accidentally taking it back?

Seriously Queen Administrator, what the hell? Are you messing up Taylor's orders for kicks?

This is interesting. And hillarious. Can't wait to see how this will continue.

Though shouldn't Simurgh be capable of real ressurections? Considering her post-cognition ability she should be able to rearrange brain matter into a state it was before the death of the individual.

That's actually, a pretty good point-though it should be noted that their orders were to not be responsible for any deaths, not to cause no harm. It may be that "repairing" Lisa's damaged brain with the remains of coil's was more expedient to an Endbringer. Of course, I don't think we've seen any of the other "zombies", which would be helpful in figuring this out.

Probably not, if nothing else, QA is probably still trying to figure out how to translate Human.

Well, there is a way to HALP! that translation effort along.

How?

Have Taylor ask the Endbringers if they can talk, and to do so if they can, and then whenever she gives them orders, to have them repeat back her orders to her and confirm what she meant before acting things out. ^_^

My god...

You are a GENIUS.

I thought of that, but I figured what the Endbringers are actually doing is using their own private quasi-spacewhale language. Because why would they use English or any of our mouth sounds for their private chat, when it's really not that relevant to them?

So what QA's really doing is more taking its interpretation of Taylor's thoughts, and translating it into Endbringer. And some things don't really translate.

Or at least that's my head-canon for why Taylor hasn't thought of this and why it wouldn't work that well. It may end up working in the story but it would neuter a fair bit of tension. Especially if she adds something like, "Orders from me are only valid if I have my hands on my head," or something similar to prevent accidental orders.

"Orders from me are only valid if I have my hands on my head,"

Taylor: *while holding her head do to severe concussion* who do I have to kill to make this headache go away?
QA: [HALPING!]

...

News Report: this day, the Brocton Bay memorial Hospital was destroyed by the Simurgh when she tore the roof and several upper floors off the building, before leaving with the hospital's entire supply of anesthetics. No report yet on what the Endbringers plan to do with such a large supply of pain-killers, but we can all agree it cannot be good...

Taylor: "That wasn't an order! That was a question!"

I am well aware it's not foolproof, hence saying or something similar. Though even that basic example would still cut things down, since in most case where she'd forget and make a mistake, without that protection she'd be making the order anyway.
